Hmm, interesting. We have been quite a few times and always experienced the same things. I think the bread, soup options and jams are all delicious. I like the set up and the atmosphere and am happy with all you can eat toast etc. I am fine with communal dining. Only problem is the staff don't really add to the... More

There's something quirky about this hip little mill, seemingly transformed from a traditional mill to modern cafe. Write your name on your egg, drop it into the communal pot to cook and grab the best coffee in town. Il go to Lyme Regis again just for this place! And Lyme Regis is lovely!

What a great place. Excellent winter food, tomato soup in a bread bowl, really yummy and so fresh, perfect for sharing with my lovely granddaughter, which the family had except my wife whose pizza was perfect. Lovely breads and coffee. Long sharing tables and great 'mill' atmosphere. Yes, you got it, I just loved the place and the queue outside... More

An excellent place, food was delicious, wholesome and as you can sit and see for yourself, totally made fresh on the premises. I will most definitely be visiting again, as I love the idea of bead bowls you can eat once you have finished, and it is also fantastic value for money too.

Had a wonderful egg and toast breakfast here. Friendly staff, unlimited toast to cook for yourself and boil your own eggs to your liking. The best peanut butter in the world. Can't wait to return and try lunch

We visit Lyme on a regular basis as we live just down the road, and it is the first time we have eaten in The Town Mill. What a change to the usual! It's like stepping into a quirky friend's kitchen! You sit on long benches with bowls of butter and kitchen roll and watch the preparation of the soup... More

Rarely have I been in a more uncomplicated and inspiring eating place. Everything was about sourdough, two baker boys, a wonderful waiter, an oven and two big tables with benches..... hurrah for simplicity - a must visit in the entire region
