My boyfriend and I visited for lunch on a day out to Lyme Regis. We found the staff to be very friendly, the food absolutely delightful and the atmosphere very pleasant and relaxed. We were advised when we ordered that food was good to order so expected to wait for our main course. The whole plaice was superb and the... More

Millside Restaurant provided a bright, welcoming setting for a great meal in Lyme Regis. Plenty of seafood including a catch of the day, well presented food that was fresh and tasty. Good selection of wines and friendly, efficient service. A very good evening out.

Had dinner in the Mill Restaurant with the family on a Friday evening. Food was very good, probably the best we had in Lyme Regis. Pork belly was a particular highlight. Service was very friendly and quick, despite the unnecessary warning that the food was cooked to order. The restaurant is divided into two halves. While the other half appeared... More

We recently visited what I can only describe the place as a cafe rather than a restaurant. My sister had booked in advance for my dad's 70th birthday. We were having a family gathering in the area as we are rarely in the same country. Going on trip advisors ratings the mill was chosen for a birthday meal for 6... More

Not quite the gem that the reviews on Tripadvisor might have suggested. The restaurant has probably seen better days and feels as if it's in a bit of a time-warp. Tatty decor (e.g. patched carpets) suggest a lack of investment. Piped musak slightly degrades the ambiance, and even though not too intrusive, just feels so last millennium. Food quality/value was... More

We were a party of 6 adults and 3 kids for Sun lunch seated in the less formal part of the restaurant. I had pre booked. Overall we decided the lunch was a bit of a disapointment as after ordering we were told there was no tomato sauce for kids pasta so we got a plate of spag with grated... More

We were attracted by the specials - Hake fillet and whole Plaice, and both were excellent. Simple accompaniments, onion mash and greens with the Hake, triple cooked chips and salad leaves with the Plaice. The rest of the menu looked fine, and the restaurant was full on a Saturday night. Good service, and lovely bread!

I had lunch with a friend a couple of days ago. The food and service were both very good indeed. The restaurant area is very nicely set out.

We ate here in the evening, there are 2 parts to the restaurant and our side was all couples and virtually full! The food was really very good and not too expensive, we had Terrine(£7) and Scallops(£8) for starters - both really good. For main we had slow roasted neck fillet of Lamb(£18) and slow roasted Pork Belly(£19). For pudding... More
