Great find!

We stopped here for some lunch over bank holiday. Both had a sandwich and ordered a side of chips. The chips were more like wedges and lovely! Lovely spot to sit outside and watch the world go by. We were lucky as it was sunny for us and it is a little sun trap which was great. Quite a small... read more

We only came for lunch but the place seemed to be pretty booked up (Sunday) fortunately we got a table and ordered sandwiches and some triple cooked chips.....all very nice and tasty.

We were a little disappointed as the service left a lot to be desired and the menu is very small. However the food was delicious. It's quite expensive - £60 for 2 with only one course, coffee and a beer each. There are better and cheaper places in Lyme.

This is somewhat of a two in one review as we visited not once but twice in one trip to Lyme. We first stopped for lunch and were mightily impressed. Service was friendly, the food was great (one steak and horseradish sarnie and one bacon and brie) and the setting simply idyllic. It no doubt helped that the sun was... More

Absolutely fantastic food and really great service. We had a lovely night at this restaurant - it wasn't too expensive, v good value. Highly recommend

My soup was lovely and I had beef linguine as it sounded interesting and it was absolutely gorgeous! The rest of my party gave good feedback however would have preferred fillet steak instead of rump. Good wine selection and lovely setting. All staff were very good. My chocolate meringue was not that great but I'll definitely be going back on... More

Really very disappointed with the food, the menu was just too small with not enough to choose from. The prices were quite high so we expected excellent quality which unfortunately we didn't get. My feeling was that they tried too hard for the plate to look presentable (which it did) but the ingredients just didn't match up to the pretentious... More

The food here was well priced and well cooked. Small but perfectly formed menu. Decor is a bit iffy. More cafe than restaurant. Service friendly but waitresses keen to tidy up and appeared to do a deep clean whilst we were still eating. Bin bags carried through etc. that said would go back.

My wife and I visted again in the week before easter and the food and service was up to the usual high standard that we have experienced on previous visits. We appreciate the smallish menu as it means they can cope but we always find something to try. It's a nice quiet restaurant in a quite location which suits us... More
