A relaxing spot and service with a smile!

We had lunch sitting outside and enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine near the working mill. This was preferable to sitting inside which was rather cramped. We had the fish and chips with cod au natural. One of the best burgers I've ever had! Delicious. All the ingredients tasted fresh and looked lovely. A couple of local suppliers dropped off ingredients while we were there. Baby friendly. Lovely staff.

After waiting to be served in the Mill cafe and been kept waiting we left and went here instead. What a good decision, Fennel soup and steak sandwich as we just wanted a light lunch. They were both delicious (as we shared the food). The steak was so tender, it was cooked to our requirement (medium rare). Staff were very... More

We have been visiting Lyme Regis annually for many years. We always make sure that we dine at The Millside Restaurant. The original owners who ran this restaurant in excellent fashion sold (I think) to the current owners who have maintained the standards, and in fact improved them slightly. The choice of food is very good to suit all requirements.... More

Enjoyed a tremendous dinner here with food of a very high standard indeed. The pork belly was perfectly cooked as was the other main course of rump steak. Both were served with a nicely prepared and unusual selection of vegetables. If there was any fault, it was the slightly (for me) slower pace of service. A very good experience in... More

If you visit this restaurant and have all the time in the world, then you will be happy! The food is really quite good, the staff very engaging & delightful, but the service is a real challenge. 2 wait-staff, one spending a lot of time in the kitchen, unfortunately could not cope with a reasonably full restaurant. Such a pity... More

We popped into The Millside restaurant shortly after arriving in Lyme after a three hour drive so were ready for some sustenance! Coffee was great as was the mackerel salad and the service friendly and attentive. We sat outside and watched the world go by as we enjoyed our food in the sunshine! Great little place.

Visited in may with friends, its a quiet cosy little restaurant, friendly staff and average food. Nothing special here, but good food that was tasty and worth the price paid!

In a charming spot in Lyme Regis, this small place serves really excellent, fresh-tasting food. We both started with scallop Carpaccio beautifully presented with pea puree, asparagus and other vegetable delights in a fragrant dressing. Then I had the catch of the day: generous brill fillets on mash with chard and salsa verde: perfectly cooked. My wife had the grilled... More

I had the Cornish plaice on the bone which was gorgeous, succulent, sweet and cooked just right. The rest of our party enjoyed their food. Pity the service didn't come with a smile.
