These were some of the best fish and chips I have ever had. Whilst visiting we just had to try it and it was delicious. I had the battered hake and my boyfriend had the cod. The fish was beautiful and the batter was lighter and not as greasy and the usual fish shops which I loved. We had a... More

After hearing all the reviews I couldn't wait to go. Was so happy to find a chip shop that caters for gluten free. The fish and chips were amazing shame about the long waits and the price was a little expensive so it turned out to be an end of holiday treat.

This has to be tasted, unlike most fish and chips there is no oily taste or after taste, cooked on demand to either take away or eat in, both equally enjoyable. Generous portions for all. Really enjoyed this experience and well worth the wait as it is a very popular venue. Great prices as well.

Wow. Cooking in beef dripping really does make a difference. They were gorgeous. The Cod was great as well but the chips really were the star of the show. Decided against waiting for a table so had a takeaway and sat on a bench overlooking the estuary with Turnstones and a Redshank for company. I'd highly recommend this chippy if... More

Back again to savour great fish and chips in this harbour side restaurant. Try the winter offer on the menu - fish, chips, bread & butter and a pot of tea for under £7.00! The portion of fish may be a tad smaller than the main menu but more than enough with the bread and pot of tea! See you... More

We went for lunch, it was very busy because it was the opening day of the Padstow Food Festival but the service was quick, the food was excellent - piping hot and very well cooked with just about every variation you can think of e.g. Different kinds of fish fried or grilled, battered or not, chips cooked in oil or... Battered lemon sole is fantastic, scampi is beautifully tasty, chips are are crispy... And it comes with beer, wine and a beautiful view. Friendly and warm. Not to be missed!

I have eaten at Steins Fish and Chip shop on many occasions, always enjoying the food served and washing it down with a cold, refreshing Korev. After having a lovely afternoon at Padstow Christmas Fair on Saturday, my family decided to round the evening off with fish and chips from Steins. In total there were 8 of us with a... More

Travelling in Cornwall, decided to visit renowned Rick Stein fish and chips, on the recommendation of our Son.We received a warm welcome from the friendly staff, and ordered the winter special of fish chips, tea and bread and butter. (Also splashed out on a portion of mushy peas!). Tea was served quickly, fish and chips cooked freshly. Extra hot water... More

Two pieces of fish (hake) and nicely fried chips, overlooking the sea, you have got to try them at least once, if you visit Padstow, had them for lunch, didn't need supper.
