At £52 for four this is not a normal eat in chippy you would have thought, but the food did nothing to justify the price. Small piece of fish with little taste though the batter was good. Chips OK but nothing out of the ordinary. Pot of curry was very tasty and probably the highlight of the meal which says... More

This really is the best Fish and Chips I have tried anywhere. Thats not just because its a Rick Stein, I tried a couple of others in the area to give it a fair crack and they were just average. Unless you ask, the Chips are served cooked in beef dripping and this isn't really very obvious on the menu... More

After a long bike ride I was famished. I had cod bites which were absolutely wonderful. The chips in my opinion were not cooked enough. It was really busy as you would expect from a summers day. I think there should be a seating area outside.

The best fish and chips i have tasted!!! Visited Cornwall for a family holiday and one of the agenda is to taste Mr Stein's famous fish and chips...everyone was delighted with it's scrumptious taste.

didn't disappoint at Padstow. Very relaxed, table shared, choice of battered or grilled fish etc, incredibly tasty meal. Would go back and recommend. I'll do the washing up ;-)

I love Rick's fish & chips, I chose the haddock, chips & mushy peas on this visit. The haddock was gorgeous and the batter delicious and really crisp. The chips and peas were good as well. The service was fast and efficient and the staff really friendly.

We came here on recommendation and knew that it would be a costly take away - however, the quality and freshness of the food left us totally impressed! The batter was incredible and the fish was even more so - I have never eaten chips like ones we got from this up market chippy! Well worth the money for a... More

We went to Padstow specifically to try Rick Stein's takeaway fish and chips. It was OK but just reeked of the beef fat it was cooked in. I've had better fish and chips elsewhere.

Although it was a half hour wait to sit down it was well organised and worth it. Hake and chips were excellent. Not the cheapest but what would you expect. There is limited seating, but the experience was great. £54 for four of us, I can live with that. Chips are the best I'd ever had, and the hake was... More
