As the sign says.fish and chips - as plain as that. Good food, served hot with the right fixings. Simple and direct service. Reasonable price. Can be crowded - as many in Padstow are. Easier than many of the enclosed cafes. Go while your there.

Saturday night fish n chips treat, really just to say we'd been to Rick Steins ! Nice fish and chips and curry sauce to die for but would have liked larger portions.

We ate here twice and, after high end eating at Outlaws' and Ainsworths', it was classic, yummy fish and chips - just what you would expect. It's a quick turnaround kind of place with prompt, pleasant service - you do not expect to spend the evening there!

My husband and I were really excited about going to Rick Stein's fish and chips. We got there a little early to queue and were seated when the restaurant opened. We don't mind sharing tables with people in a canteen like setting but the number of people they crammed onto a table meant it was a little cramped, and with... More

My wife and I decided to grab takeaway fish and chips from here and then sit on the harbour's edge to eat them on a Sunday evening. We got there as they opened so no problems with queues. The quality of the fish was good but I have to say that I have had better at a fish and chip... More

My wife and I had been looking forward to trying the fish and chips here and were not disappointed. We had hake and chips and it was cooked to perfection. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Very kind friendly and well informed fish mongering . Did not eat fish and chips as I was in the seafood Restuarant that night but I did love the thought of the beef dripping for frying chips. Next time

Aoli, squid and chocolate pot unmissable, service was a bit 'quiet night at the end of season's' and chips very unremarkable. Generally pretty good but not as good as Rockfish in Dartmouth!

We decided to eat in at Rick’s Fish and Chip shop and although I thought it was very expensive, I have to say it was very nice! The chips were just right and the battered cod was amazing topped only by the homemade curry sauce. Good size portions and we were able to cycle all the way to Bodmin and... More

The cod was small and greasy. The chips were dry and hard and looked as if they had been left over from lunch and refried. 2 Teas consisted of one small teapot which cost over £4 but we were told we could have it topped up with water. It was very expensive especially to eat out of a cardboard box.
