On our way back from Cornwall we decided to stop off and take a look at Padstow, we had a look round the town and played Spot the Rick Stein business. The chip shop had moved out to the quay and can be found in between the Stein fishmongers and Deli, both of which had some lovely stuff in. The... More

Maybe a bit expensive for Fish & Chips but in how many other chippies can you enjoy your f&C lunch with a glass of bubbly. Have been before and weren't disappointed. Didn't have to wait for too long and the Fish & Chips were lovely, crispy batter, tasty fish and great chips. Nice to have bottles of condiments not sachets.

Our first full day on holiday in Cornwall and we decided to explore Padstow, as it happens we was walking past Stein's Fish & Chips as it opened so we thought it's somewhere that you have to try and there is no queue. Well it didn't disappoint, the staff were friendly, helpful and interacted well with out little boy and... More

We have had fish and chips from the takeaway and also eaten in the restaurant many times. No waiting for a table which was great but not a very happy waitress showing us to the table. A different waitress served us and after taking our order and bringing the food we were not spoken to again to see if all... More

Fab fish and chips. Queue very long but worth waiting for. There are 2 queues. One for sit down and one for takeaway. The takeaway is usually longer but moves faster.

After waiting in a queue for a while we were seated, ordering was prompt and we didn't have to wait long to be served. Meals are served in cartons.... We had fish and chips and grilled fish with salad. The battered cod was generous with a lovely thin and crisp batter, just as it should be. The chips, fried in... More

We thought this very average for fish and chips. The fish was nicely done but the chips were hard and not crispy. For over £10 I would not expect it to be served in a cardboard box and have to pay an additional £1 for tartar sauce. I am sure there are other fish and chips in Padstow far more... More

The main port of call in Padstow these days in rick steins chippy and there's quite a queue to eat in or just to take away. We took the takeaway option. We queued for about 20 minutes which was fine but when we reached the front of the queue it was clear that the queue was just caused by a... More

Well one of our party had this recommended to him so we all went to try it out. We had to wait to get in for the sit in chippy...SO I would advise you book in advance. Its not a chippy where you can get sausage or pies...it is all fish, chips, curry sauce or peas with a few other... More
