For the last 10 years we have spent at least a week in Cornwall on holiday and for at least 8 of these we have eaten at this fantastic Fish & Chip shop. I have read some of the negative reviews here and whilst I understand restaurants can have an odd night off, this eatery has consistently delivered every time... More

Having enjoyed our meals here the last two times we visited, we were a bit underwhelmed this time. We did the usual wait for 3/4 hour which wasn't to bad and we saw off a few in front of us. We were prepared for that. The food however was disappointing. The chips were nice enough but the fish was underwhelming... More

Cant say too much. we tried it and it was very nice. Not to our taste as we felt something was missing. ( probably the grease ) it was just too clean for us. very nice and worth a visit. I guess we expected to be blown away but after all it is just fish and chips.

My partner was really looking forward to trying the fish and chips from here. Im not a sea food eater but was happy to try it. It wasn't greasy and was very fresh. It tasted really good which I was pleasantly surprised. My partner loved it and happily ate everything. Only thing I found it wasn't value for money, it... More

Ate here on Saturday night after a lovely day at Padstow. I have to admit I was really looking forward to my fish and chip treat. Ordered 4 adult meals and a child's meal. I requested mine to be cooked in veg oil and I do not eat read meat. Order was prompt and arrived within 5 mins. We took... More

We wanted to visit the seafood restaurant, but they didn't really seem to cater for young ones so this seemed the next best option, we arrived around 11.45, it was already busy and a queue had formed for seats inside and takeout, we didn't have to wait long but by 12.15 the queue was huge. The food was good and... More

We queued for half an hour at lunch time to sample the Rick Stein fish and chips. I had no real expectation other than it must be good, because Rick Stein is a celebrity chef and therefore has some pedigree in his cooking. The take away shop faces a car park on the harbor so when we were finally served... More

My boyfriend and I were very much looking forward to what we assumed would be the best fish and chips in town. However, we could not have been more wrong! £4.25 for three small tiger prawns that still contained huge black veins, which when we questioned to the manager she showed no understanding of deveining a prawn. She argued that... More

Children's cod bites and chips consisted of 4 bits of fish and lots of chips. My haddock was on the small side. Tartare sauce was a bit bland for my taste. Other half had sea bream which was delicious and a good size portion. Overall not bad but not worth the 45min wait to sit down.
