Decent fish & chips, but I can't help thinking you are paying extra for the name and not the food. The long queues aren't worth it, go have a pasty instead.

I had the Coley and chips. We sat and ate them on the harbor wall- all part of the experience! The fish is undeniably good, absolutely fresh and local and that beef dripping batter- amazing! This is now a 'must do' when we're in North Cornwall.

We waited maybe 30 mins in queue to order, maybe another 15mins to collect. Very pleased with our cod n chips for £7.95 I recall. +condiments. Liked the mayo. It was pretty nice. Maybe others are quicker, cheaper. I reckon if its school holidays and theres a queue, and your kids are hungry, maybe not really worth the wait, we... More

Went to Rick Steins not really knowing what to expect. Yes, your meal comes in a carton, you are sitting at a picnic table and it is not cheap , But the fish and chips are excellent and the atmosphere is really good. Can highly recommend it .

Not good value for money. Paying for the NAME can buy just as good else were for a lot less in Padstow Town

Fun place for lunch. We all enjoyed the light batter on the fish but were disappointed that there was no home made tartar sauce! The mustard tasting mayonnaise was a non-no! It was very busy at lunch time but the service from a very young team of staff was very quick, efficient and friendly. We will certainly return again later... More

I'm surprised by some of the reviews I have read here. But also I find fish and chips one of the most variable dishes I ever order - so perhaps their experiences were just bad luck. My experience of Rick Stein's place was an outstanding one. The fish was beautifully cooked. Crisp, delicious batter. Crisp delicious chips. How many fish... More

prety quiet as out of season. Delicious chips double fried in beef dripping - could have been a bit more generous with the portion. Lovely bit of fish. Prices not (as expected) extortionate. Also deli shop and other "stein" places.
