A light and airy café in the heart of Padstow, it is a fairly small establishment and consequently can soon fill up. We were there for breakfast, and there were a number of the usual suspects to choose from on the menu such as full English, kippers, cereal & yoghurt, etc. Unusually though there was no Eggs Benedict, or variations... We had a great dinner in this café. It was 3 simple courses for £23 and well worth the money. Great service too.

We took my Mother to eat here as she was keen to try one of Rick Stein's places. The decor and atmosphere were good and the service was fine, as expected. However the portion sizes were disappointingly small. We have visited fine dining restaurants on many occasions and are not keen on large courses but the meagre quantity of cod... More

We were looking forward to our visit while on holiday. The Cafe was what we expected in that the atmosphere and service were both very good. Unfortunately the food rather let down the package. The starters were good and this augured well for the rest of the meal. The mains were below par. I had a dry fish curry that... More

Best fish and chips in town. Very fresh and good quick service. Contrary to the reviews it was quiet easy to get a table in there.

On a visit to Cornwall, and Padstow in particular, after a number of years following Rick around the world on TV, we decided lunch at his cafe would be a pleasant experience. Upon entry, the decor struck us as sunny and cheerful, with a casual atmosphere. A table for 3 was requested and provided with no delay at 12.30 on... More

took my mum for an early dinner. I just love the vibe and the place. Staff are always attentive and helpful. On this occasion there were loads of kids as we were eating early - so it was very noisy and cramped. So in hindsight would have done better to book later. I loved the opportunity to eat the food... The front of house brigade here are quite brilliant. Always welcoming, unfailingly polite to those who hope to get a table without a booking, and exuding real sense of enjoying what they do. Food is a simple, fresh and uncomplicated. Bravo to all

We went here every morning of our stay. A nice selection of breakfast items, from the full English to the cereal and fruits. Papers to read and we were introduced to the walnut bread which was lovely. Service was very good and would recommend.

After the hype one reads about Rick Stein and Padstow, last year we were disappointed when we went to eat at the Café, not expecting it to be so basic and noisy. The tables were benches, also the seats and we found it uncomfortable sitting so close to people we didn't know. However, the food was good and we decided... More
