Great Cream Tea And Scones

Whilst in Padstow we stopped off at Pescadou for a cream tea. This restaurant is directly opposite the harbour in Padstow and you can sit in the restaurant area inside and just watch the world go by whilst tucking into your cream tea. Anyhow...... My daughter and I were in Padstow for a couple of days before a four day walk on the coastal path to St Ives, this restaurant was certainly the highlight of our 6 day trip, food was great, the Seafood Thermidor was exceptional, the host was really helpful with wines etc and after meal sitting in the relaxing lounge area... I'm very particular about scones, these are the lightest and tastiest I have ever had, so much so that I must cross from Rock to Padstow for another experience. What I also appreciated about Pescadou was that when I asked for extra jam and clotted cream, they didn't look at you as if you were wearing two heads. Service very,... More

My wife and I had our 10th wedding anniversary dinner here on Sat 9th May and had a great meal. The food was delicious (baked ray wing - superb) and the service was unobtrusive. Overall, a lovely atmosphere with very reasonably priced menu/wine list.

We had dinner here two nights ago and the food was really good. The service was very friendly and attentive. My husband had the mussels and the seafood thermidor and I had the beef carpaccio and the scallops. I would definitely dine at this restaurant again as it was excellent value.

Visited Pescadou with my partner whilst on holidays in St Merryn. It was the one night of the holiday where my partners parents were watching our son so we were looking forward to a nice meal. Chose Pescadou as it had a good seafood menu outside. When we arrived we explained that we were looking for a table of two... More

We had a pleasant dinner here with friends good service plenty of fresh fish but thought the food in The Custom House adjoining this restaurant was just as good. Ate in here for breakfast while staying at The Custom House nice cooked breakfast and smoked salmon could do with a better selection of fresh fruit and a better toast machine... More

Thank you for your feedback, I am very pleased you found our staff friendly and service delightful, but I was disappointed to see you felt your meal lacked flavour. Our staff are always willing to alter a meal to suit personal tastes, and if this was the issue please feel free to make any suggestions where our staff will always... More

A very good menu with both our choices beyond our expectations. Some excellent wine at very competitive prices. Highly recommended.
