Lovely Lunch

6 of us had the set lunch one afternoon during the food festival. Excellent choice - the chicken was beautiful - so moist and flavoursome - can't wait to return.

We were really looking forward to dining at No. 6. We had tried a few times before on our visit to Cornwall but the restaurant was always fully booked so we were really glad we managed to reserve a table. The restaurant is an old town house. It was tastefully decorated, great ambience. Staff were very helpful and very knowledgeable.... More

You only really know how good food can be when you have been to a restaurant like this; others, that you had previously thought exemplary, pale into mediocrity. It isn't just the food, it is the style, the service, the presentation, the ambiance and the panache. For about £100 a couple, this restaurant is beyond reproach and I can't think... More

Best I've ever eaten. Lovely staff, Drama when they bring the dish to you to show you how it is straw smoked. If only I could afford to eat here regularly but will just have to recommend it as a beautiful treat.

We went to have lunch at Paul's during August of 2015 and suffice to say I can't remember what we had but I CAN remember it was definitely worth going. The meal itself was a wonderful occasion, the staff were friendly and attentive and the whole experience was far and away better than another restaurant in Rock we'd been to... More

Fantastic meal with attentive service pitched just right to put our daughters (18, 16 and 12) at ease. Middle daughter was able to choose off menu and really enjoyed her simple but tasty cod dish whilst the other two loved their duck mains. Really memorable 18th Birthday celebration.

On an annual camping trip we decided to treat ourselves - what a meal! A wide choice of dishes, it took some time narrowing it down, a good bottle of Rioja helped whilst we pondered. Some fabulous home made bread was served to help us with this. Eventually we all had fish starter dishes, a raw scallops dish being the... More

My wife and I have been fortunate to have eaten here a couple of times now, on both occasions for special celebrations, and I have to say it does not fail to deliver on expectations. From the minute you walk through the door the staff could not be more accommodating and manage to walk the tightrope between being attentive without... More

Eight of us had dinner here last Saturday. We were in the 'front room' which was quite charming. The meal was delicious with just the right amount to theatre. We wondered if the cep mushroom dust was quite what it seemed as those of us who had the steak had some really vivid and wild dreams that night!!

We decided to treat ourselves for our 25th wedding anniversary and from the booking to the end of our meal, it really was a treat. We had a bit of a struggle to find parking even though it was out of season, but we don't know the area at all so weren't sure of where to go. At the restaurant... More
