Enjoyable meal

We both decided on steak after a splendid seafood meal the previous night. The steak was good, perfectly cooked. Service was efficient and helpful and there was a lively atmosphere in the bistro. We had coffee in the lounge which was very comfortable. We enjoyed the evening.

Good atmosphere, nice setting. Food was decent. Squid, prawns in Ouzo, smoked haddock and chicken parfait, but nothing standout. 2 lemon sole and 2 hake for main. Lemon sole were very good, but at £24 and a portion of potato and veg extra taking the price to around £31....... Hake was also nice, but dominated by garlic and nowhere near... More

Pleasant attentive service and wonderful food made dining here for the first time a lovely evening. We both had rib eye steaks, which were very tasty and my first course of prawns in a spicy tomato sauce with feta cheese was delicious. This place is up a steep hill, but well worth the climb to eat here. It was a... More

Our expectations were sky high after visiting Rick's Seafood Restaurant the night before and enjoying that so much. We were greeted warmly and shown into a reception/sitting room which looked quite nice but was in need of a really good clean to clear out the cobwebs and dust. The menu was very simple and I don't think I was alone... More

Really delicious food! Scallops were amazing, plus prawns to start. Then Rib Eye (cooked to perfection) and lemon sole. Very good food, good wine and good service. Attentive waitresses without always asking you if you're ok! would recommend, not cheap, but worth it!

We ate here over the Easter weekend with some friends and we were really impressed. The food was great value for money and our steak cooked perfectly! Cocktails went down a treat too! :) Great service and lovely atmosphere - we will be back.

My boyfriend and I visited St Petroc's for dinner over Easter. The moment we walked in, the service was impeccable - friendly and relaxed and welcoming. We shared a chateaubriand which was perfectly cooked. My pommes d'or could have been hotter but they were still delicious. My only slightly criticism was that while there were lots of non-fish/seafood options in... More

I visited Padstow over the Easter weekend and was excited when we managed to book a table. We arrived and sat at our table at 8.20pm. We ordered our food by 8.30pm, ordering 1 x starter and then 2 x main courses. We watched as others around us came in after us and we're served their food before us. At... More

We loved it! Great service, friendly hosts and food was very yummy as you'd expect from another one of Stein's places in Padstow. A small cosy venue, off the front, so you need to book. We enjoyed oysters, ouzo prawns, then a fantastic chateauxbriand with very enjoyed house red. Would happily recommend this place for a treat!

Our second visit to this restaurant and the food did not disappoint. It was very good indeed. Generally the service was good. Our visit was in March, quite a chilly time of the year and I think the central heating should have been more generously employed. It was cool in the drinks lounge and in the restaurant early on. I... More

Thank you for letting us know the food and service were so good. We have mentioned to the Restaurant Manager that you felt the heating should have been turned up a little and that you found some of the seating uncomfortable and appreciate your comments. More
