I visited St Petrocs for the first time having passed it many times. I went with 8 friends because they have a special charity lunch and it was a really lovely experience. For 3 courses just £12.50 plus a £2 donation to Water Aid. A choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts. Everybody loved their choices. Just one... More

Very good food - as we expected - the service was friendly, although the restaurant was very busy, and yes quite noisy - but better that than icily quiet.

This arm of the all conquering Stein empire has always been one of my favorite eating places in Padstow. The stripped down menu in comparison to its HQ down the hill is no detriment to it at all with all the dishes well cooked and well presented. I would though stick to the seafood as the linguine on the menu... More

We arrived speculatively for lunch one Monday, the restaurant seemed extremely busy but they did have a table free, initially I was a little disappointed as we were put on a table in a small area by the bar which featured just 2 tables and we were the only ones in there until another table arrived, otherwise it really did... We were a little disappointed as we had invited friends to join us for the charity lunch. It was so noisy we could hardly talk to each other across the table. We ate lunch and left to have coffee elsewhere so we could chat. The food was good but no vegetarian option on the Water Aid menu meant that our... More

We’re pleased to hear you all enjoyed the butternut squash soup and that the steaks were beautifully cooked and puddings delicious. We are sorry if you found the bistro noisy and that we overcharged on the donation. We do appreciate you letting us know and have passed your comments on. Please email feedback@rickstein.com if you would like to discuss this... More

This is much better value for money than The Seafood Restaurant. I don't think I've ever eaten a better lemon sole. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is rather nice, and we could sit outside in the sunshine. Perfect.

On a night that was raining 'cats and dogs' we shook ourselves down and parked the brollies in the hallway before being greeted by a friendly staff member and shown to our table in St Petroc's Bistro. Menus were courteously distributed (we were four) and a bottle of Rick Stein's Spanish White was ordered, it was the perfect wine while... More

We came as part of a two day experience and had dinner at St Petroc's bistro on our first night. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff attentive. We sat in the library for a drink and look at the menu which was fun as there some lively people in there. We went all out and had appetisers, starters, a... More
