Excellent and relaxing

Almost empty restaurant except for a lively table full of parents, grandparents and amazingly well educated small kids. Nice place, good reception, good service and we had an excellent meal in a nice and not too posh environment. When we asked for a particular sherry we saw the sommelier run out of... read more

We had lunch with our 3 year old daughter. All dishes were delicious including my daughter's pasta. Service is friendly, professional and knowledgeable without being austere or unapproachable. There was a nice atmosphere, with a diverse range of diners.

Yes we had a really nice evening here, the team were great, the food and wine were excellent and despite being just off the main restaurant we managed to accomodate our well behaved dog too.

Chose the Bistro rather than the fish restaurant as cwe don't like fish without batter ! despite booking a month ahead we still only had 9pm sitting. However, staff were professional and ultra polite all night- even the food was good.Excellent atmosphere and worth a visit.

Friendly staff - wanted to try Steins seafood but was not overly impressed - limited and unimaginary menu from the man who is supposed to be the best chef for fish - we had a nice meal in pleasant surroundings and they accommodated our 3 year old but it was as good as any standard restaurant any where else but... The restaurant is just off the town centre and easy to miss, but even so was fully booked when we were there. It is quite small and prams / push chairs aren't allowed into the restaurant because of space, but they seem child friendly The humus appetiser was excellent as were the scallops. Although the steaks looked great I went... More

Had an evening meal with my Wife here recently which we really enjoyed, starters we chose were Salad of smoked haddock, warm potatoes and little gem lettuce and Brown and Forrest smoked salmon with horseradish cream which was really tender and flavoursome. For main we shared a Chateaubriand cooked to perfection which was again a taste sensation with the Béarnaise... More

A sunny morning arriving at noon in busy Padstow, first 3 car parks were full so amazed to find St Petroc's, entered at 12:30, not only had a table but an entirely empty dining room! Should this have alerted us? We thought we were just early, and yes a few other tables filled as we ate. The waiter who had... More
