The food was very good and it was possibly the best sticky toffee pudding we had ever tasted. However, for us the restaurant lacked atmosphere, despite being full (a bonus though if you like a very quiet place or are hard of hearing).

We had a lovely meal at Margots. Tasty fresh food, beautifully cooked and served. Good value for money. We were not rushed, and could savour our food. No loud music which was a bonus! We have already booked again for our next visit! Lovely chocolate served with coffee. Go there hungry!

If you are planning a trip to Padstow it's well worth booking at this lovely restaurant to make sure you get a table. You'll be rewarded with fish fresh off the boat (my seabass had been caught at midnight the day before and tasted wonderful. Make sure you leave plenty of room to eat because portions are generous and tasty... More

Another quality meal at Margots. Adrian and Co make it look so easy and nothing was too much trouble, going out of their way to accommodate our two children, who loved their steaks by the way. The chicken and duck was so tasty and my father in law said his sea bass was the best he's had, and he's had... More

Managed to grab a last minute booking and very happy we did. Intimate little restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food and service was excellent and great value for the standard. It will be the first table we book when we return to Padstow.

Having many enjoyable holidays in Padstow and dining at Margot's we knew to book early to avoid disappointment, this time was no exception. Each of our party thoroughly enjoyed their course selections. The chowder and poached pears were particular delights. We are already looking forward to next years visit

A super small and friendly restaurant/bistro. I had a great chowder and truly fantastic poached pear for dessert but to be honest my baked plaice was totally eclipsed by my wife's hake which she let me taste and was fantastic. I will certainly go back.

Great evening with friends, delicious three course meal made with the freshest ingredients. Mackerel simply grilled, served on a bed of apple and beetroot salad. Lamb cutlets, the best I've ever tasted, served with roasted new potatoes and fresh vegetables. Banana Eton Mess with salted caramel, yum!

Visited on our last night in Padstow, this place doesn't have any of the pretentious of some restaurant but delivered what I consider was the best meal of the week. Went for the Haddock Chowder followed by Hake with a side of vegetables. I had been looking forward to trying the sticky toffee pudding but was way to full to... More
