Description: The (tiny) tea garden is at the back of the two hundred year old...
The (tiny) tea garden is at the back of the two hundred year old 'Coastguard Houses' at Hawkers Cove, on the Coastal Path, 150m from the slipway at Hawkers Cove beach and enjoys fantastic views across the Doom Bar and mouth of the Camel Estuary, to Polzeath and Daymer Bay. We serve hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, quiches and pies, homemade soups, filled jacket potatoes, made to order sandwiches, cream teas, ice creams and various snacks.(Our cream teas and our crab sandwiches are getting rave reviews). We have also started baking our own Gluten Free scones (and some cakes), so can now offer possibly the best gluten free cream tea in Cornwall. We are 'Dog Friendly', welcoming well behaved pooches with a fresh bowl of water and biscuits. The tea garden is, literally, a garden, with no inside seating and is consequently very 'weather dependent' so if the weather is at all 'unsettled', we would advise that you phone ahead to make sure that we are open. The tea garden will be open 7 days a week (weather permitting) from Easter to October. Unfortunately we don't have any parking facilities, so suggest that you park in the car park and walk along the coast path, or park on the road to Hawkers Cove and walk down the hill, (approx 500m). The tea garden is situated behind the top row of houses. We accept most Credit/Debit Cards. Please come and see us.... You will be made most welcome!

A hidden gem

After a good walk out of Padstow came across this little Tearoom where you sit outside in a back garden and the owners pass the food etc out via a serving window! Fantastic find, home made food excellent, very friendly and very generous portions, will be going back!

We were on a bracing coastal walk to Stepper Point and beyond when we saw the signpost to this amazing Tea Garden. It was a glorious sunny day and the setting was perfect tucked up a narrow, ivy covered track with stupendous views of the Camel Estuary. The cafe is literally in a back garden full of interesting plants in... More

We were pleased to find this place after a gentle stroll along the coastal path from Padstow. Sitting with a lovely view across the coastline, we enjoyed some tea and cakes, with the cream tea I had being nicer than the one I'd had the previous day. Friendly service with a smile, it's worth the walk out from Padstow especially... More

We walked the beautiful coastal path from Padstow, just a short walk, with our end goal being this tea room, We were not disappointed. Friendly relaxed welcome with great choice of snacks/sandwiches/drinks. Small and quaint, with a retro feel. Great views. Very dog friendly !!!

My friend and I were doing a regular walk and decided to stop at the Tea Garden for drinks. I went up to the window, but before I could ask for a coffee for myself and a glass of milk for my friend, the woman said 'Here's some menus' and gave me three. I took the menus back to our... More

We rested our weary legs after a walk to steppers point . We ordered ham sandwiches and cream teas and it was beautiful. The ham was home cooked served with a lovely salad and a bucket of crisps, the scones were light and so tastey. We would highly recommend a visit .
