Description: The (tiny) tea garden is at the back of the two hundred year old 'Coastguard Houses' at Hawkers Cove, on the Coastal Path, 150m from the slipway at Hawkers Cove beach and enjoys fantastic views across the Doom Bar and mouth of the Camel Estuary, to Polzeath and Daymer Bay. We serve hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, quiches and pies, homemade soups, filled jacket potatoes, made to order sandwiches, cream teas, ice creams and various snacks.(Our cream teas and our crab sandwiches are getting rave reviews). We have also started baking our own Gluten Free scones. The tea garden is, literally, a garden, with no inside seating and is consequently very 'weather dependent' so if the weather is at all 'unsettled', we would advise that you phone ahead to make sure that we are open. The tea garden will be open 7 days a week (weather permitting) from Easter to 31st October. Unfortunately we don't have any parking facilities, so suggest that you park in the car park and walk along the coast path, or park on the road to Hawkers Cove and walk down the hill, (approx 500m). We accept most Credit/Debit Cards. Please come and see us.... You will be made most welcome!

Stopped here for some lunch whilst enjoying a walk along the coastal path. The food was very nice, all freshly prepared, and the friendly service was excellent.

We walked from Trevone to Padstow and this was the perfect stop just over halfway, a cup of tea in the sun with a lovely view over the Camel Estuary.

Fabulous scones and view! If you are walking in the area make sure you visit-you won't be disappointed. Just be aware there is little in the way of shelter as this is an outdoor venue so be prepared.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I’m so glad that you enjoyed your visit to our tiny tea garden. We think that we have got the scones just right now after mixing and matching a few different recipes, to create our own. We know how lucky we are to live here and we are very pleased to... More

Had the most delicious cream tea here. The welcome was warm and friendly, the view was perfect, the scones were fresh and tasty. Worth the walk from Padstow, we will definitely return!

After a lovely walk along the coast path from Padstow found this little gem. Had delicious cream tea with gorgeous coffee and cake!! Needed fortifying for the walk back and after being assured Cornish calories don't count! Had cake as well. Really enjoyed everything and thoroughly recommend to all who enjoy a good walk and good food.

The cafe is served out of the back window of what looks like a council type house into the small back garden which has three picnic bench tables. The tea was ok but I was disgusted to see people being charged to use their council house toilet. In the owners words a substantial donation was required. One person I saw... More

At first, I didn’t know whether to take this ‘review’ seriously or not, but as you have badly affected our Tripadvisor status with your venomous assault and totally misleading information I feel that I must set the record straight. I’m sorry that you feel that the row of Coastguard Houses, in an area of outstanding natural beauty and with well... More

We stopped here after getting caught in the rain! Thankfully there was a big umbrella to huddle under. Most delicious cream tea and great views.

What lovely, friendly people, stopped for a cold drink while walking the coastal path. Very relaxed & colourful setting. Perhaps a couple more sun shades for the tables?

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your kind comments. We normally have two large umbrellas/sun shades that cover the whole deck, but I do apologise, because when you visited, one was being repaired, so only half the deck was shaded. Please call again during your next visit to Cornwall. More
