Description: The (tiny) tea garden is at the back of the two hundred year old...
The (tiny) tea garden is at the back of the two hundred year old 'Coastguard Houses' at Hawkers Cove, on the Coastal Path, 150m from the slipway at Hawkers Cove beach and enjoys fantastic views across the Doom Bar and mouth of the Camel Estuary, to Polzeath and Daymer Bay. We serve hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, quiches and pies, homemade soups, filled jacket potatoes, made to order sandwiches, cream teas, ice creams and various snacks.(Our cream teas and our crab sandwiches are getting rave reviews). We have also started baking our own Gluten Free scones (and some cakes), so can now offer possibly the best gluten free cream tea in Cornwall. The tea garden is, literally, a garden, with no inside seating and is consequently very 'weather dependent' so if the weather is at all 'unsettled', we would advise that you phone ahead to make sure that we are open. The tea garden will be open 7 days a week (weather permitting) from Easter to October. Unfortunately we don't have any parking facilities, so suggest that you park in the car park and walk along the coast path, or park on the road to Hawkers Cove and walk down the hill, (approx 500m). We normally accept most Credit/Debit Cards, but are currently between machines, so are 'cash only' until further notice. Please come and see us.... You will be made most welcome!

Worth a walk to this place! Fantastic homemade sandwiches, cakes and much much more. I recommend the prawn sandwich! Been here on every visit to Padstow, such a quirky, cleaver idea I will definitely be back again soon.

After fairly strenuous walk along the beautiful Camel Estuary, called in for a snack on Saturday 16th May. I had a prawn sandwich with Marie Sauce and my wife had a quiche, both served with a light salad. The sandwich was very good and the quiche was excellent. This is a small tea garden up a steep hill with very... More
