Good stop off

The pub is plain and simple but the food is a nice surprise. Have been here before and were not disappointed. It's not fine dining but they do have a good range of seafood on offer and well presented, cooked. It's rough and ready, average priced so don't expect too much and you'll be pleasantly... read more

We stayed here for a week. We had a clean comfortable bed with a good breakfast each day. Our room was spacious with en suite bathroom which was clean apart from 13 dead flies resting in the lampshade. The mould in the shower tray wasnt good either. Each morning we had to go through a dirty passage to the dining... More

with so many places to choose from we were lured in by the great advertising boards outside, however once inside and seated, we were told most of the menu was unavailable and what was available was over priced and over rated. The worst meal we had all week, very disappointed and felt ripped off would not return or recommend. My... More

From the outside the pub is welcoming and attractive, it was 2.30 and we fancied a bite to eat, the board outside said that they served food until 3.00pm, so we went inside. The pub is a bit dark inside but welcoming, they advertised an outside space so we went to see, the steps up to the area are very... More

We stayed in Padstow whilst walking the South West Coast Path recently. The host at the B&B we stayed in recommended the London Inn as a place to eat. Now, it was a Sunday so the chef may have been on a night off, but the food was awful. What do you choose to eat in a town known for... More

Seriously , after a long walk around the coast called in for a refreshing drink . Was shocked to be charged £3.79 for a carlsberg and promptly charged an extra 60p for a dash of lemonade.... Really!!! We are quickly drinking up and leaving before we run out of money .

My wife and I, together with our dog, have just got back from renting a cottage in Padstow for a week. One of my first priorities on arrival in any new holiday spot is to check out the pubs, and considering that Padstow is a very small place the locals are spoiled for choice. We had great hopes for the... More

Here is a little oasis of calm in a busy little seaside town. Excellent beers & great service. Full of locals & great for the banter. Will certainly visit again!

This Pub is more locals than visitors unlike the Shipwrights by the Harbour. Couple of chairs to sit outside but that's all. However great place to listen to local banter in Cornish drawl, friendly landlord who serves up excellent beer. I would try the heavily hopped Proper Job .

We visited this pub for a quick lunch, we chose this pub because it allowed dogs ( most do in Cornwall) it is a old authentic Cornish pub. We sat up on a decked area at the rear of the pub up some very steep stairs, drinks ordered we proceeded to order food, the burgers sounded good and we ordered... More
