Friendly pub, good grub

This is the sort of pub you walk into as a stranger and immediately feel at home. Fish and chips were first rate -- very generous portion and lovely crispy batter.

Stopped here on a cold wet day in March for sunday Lunch. The fire was roaring in the well stocked bar. Its a traditional "old school" pub. Ordered sunday lunch from the bar as we had our dog with us. It came quickly and was delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection and 5 different vegetables and a yorkshire pudding........... More

Great atmosphere, feels like a "proper pub" even when full of tourists. Not tarted up at all and when there is live music almost the perfect place to chill with a pint of tribute whilst the wife does Seasalt, Joules, Quba etc etc

Popped in here to have dinner, found great regulars and fine food, will go again when we are down, the sea food is really good and well presented and value for money.

Called in for a Cornish pint and to get out of the cold. The pub has a very traditional feel, an open fire (a must in the winter) and loads of memorabilia on the walls. Friendly staff, and it appears to be another pub frequented by locals too (brilliant in my mind). Didn't eat here, so can't comment on that,... More
