We have relatives that live in rock and my girlfriend worked there many moons ago who hadn't been there for ages, yes agree looks like the decor could be updated, reminds me of a working men's club, but the food very good and my goats Cheese starter was nicely presents, staff are pleasantNd knowledgable, maybe would say a little bit... Inside is a little disappointing. A bit dated and in need of a spruce up. However, no complaints about the food or the friendly staff or the service. All top notch. The Hake special was superb and the wife's cod was delicious . Very family friendly

As we were staying nearby we went here for a meal one night. I ordered scampi in a basket and my wife had the vegetarian lasagne. After ordering our meals at the bar we only had to wait about 5 minutes before our food had arrived. Some people might like this but it concerns me as you wonder how well... More

We were visiting my parents who were staying just down the road and went here for dinner on Friday evening, a week ago. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. There were no delays on the food and me, mum and grandad all ordered pudding and were not disappointed. A scrumptious chocolate pyramid... More

A group of friends and me went for an evening meal out. We were served so quickly by lovely staff, the food choice was great and it came very quickly. Each of us had great food and those that had desert loved it. Easily the best value for money in the rock and polzeath area. There's a lovely garden Area... More

For some time now we've been making this our fairly regular haunt for a Sunday Lunch. The food is superb with the most flavourful beef I've tasted in a very long time. More importantly all the vegetables are cooked in a way that is suitable for vegetarians to eat, right down to the vegetarian, onion gravy. Such a simple, but... More

Visited early June 2014. We had starters & main courses, at a sensible price & left very happy. The two members of staff on bar/waitress duties were very friendly & accommodating, being very attentive throughout our visit (It was a Wednesday evening). Food was good & as stated already, prices very reasonable in an area well known for over-priced food.... More

Initially paid a visit here for a drink back in March and said we would return when next in Cornwall... We visited again yesterday... we arrived just after 4 pm and had a couple of drinks (Cornish Rattler Cider and St Austels Trelawney) The licensee remembered us from March and welcomed us back... a nice thing about this pub is...
