Purely by chance we found a little gem off the beaten track. After an eight hour journey through horrendous traffic from Brighton we arrived hungry and tired out at Rock, Cornwall. The Pityme Inn was indeed a great find. A pretty little pub with great staff and a friendly atmosphere. We were really impressed with the quality and value of... More

Quiet pub in a beautiful part of Cornwall. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the bar itself was quaint. Myself and wife have been here several times and each time we've enjoyed our experience. Even better, they allow dogs into the bar! This means one less wet, cold meal outside.

Walked up to from our holiday hire in Rock - large car park with a number of outdoor areas - we used later on in the evenings so cant comment on the food - good mix of locals and holiday makers - we found staff to be attentive and friendly - good range of St Austell Beers

Sat 9/08/14 We had pre-booked a table two nights previously for 5 people, upon arrival the staff behind the bar appear to have made an error with the booking as it was down in the diary for 4 people. We have been a family of 5 for 14 years & hubby made the booking. Manageress was obviously under pressure as it... More

We visited here three times on staying at nearby St Minver holiday park. This place was recommended by the receptionist at the holiday park as it was family friendly and we had a very lively 3yr old with us. It is everything you expect from a country pub, so yes it is a little date but to be honest I... More

Average beer and food was ok for the price. Chicken or scampi in a basket??!! Back to the 70's! Bit of a frosty reception from the barman and the music was also a real throwback!

Decided to walk to this place from st minver holiday park after the pub at st minver didn't serve food until after 7. In fact we ate here twice. Menu wasn't massive but food was lovely and very good value.

We ate at the Pityme as we visited years ago and thought we would go back. The decor a little dated, outside area lovely. The food was superb, soup to start which was delicious then gammon egg and chips, the portion was huge and really tasty and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to our next meal... More
