A Reliable Eatery

Excellent menu - suits all tastes - reliable, friendly staff always anxious to please. Despite being in the middle of a re-furb their high standards didn't suffer. Their home-cooked food is a winner and their desserts are to die for!!!

I have just moved into the Village with my family. This is a great new local, staff are friendly and helpful and the food and beer are both good. We are looking forward to our first summer here and enjoying more time in this great little local.

Wow what a find all due to sat nav! We spent the afternoon in this pub just chillin in the rain - we couldn't have spent it in a better place. It was newly refurbished, very spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff we very friendly even giving us the TV remote. We ended up eating here and was pleasantly surprised... More

We visited when the pub was in the middle of a refurb but it was a very pleasant pub. The staff were very friendly. There is plenty of seating inside and out. There is a dart board that we had a go on. The menu had something for everyone. The costs were on the higher end of average but when... More

Came here for a family lunch. They have a great lunchtime menu with a variety of foods, everything was available apart from the mussels which hadn't been delivered by then (fair enough). They also had kids meals which were good portions and reasonably priced. There is a kids area outside which smaller and bigger kids (under 10s) can play on.... More

We stumbled upon this place on our way to Rock and were so pleased that we did. The entrance from the car park doesn't reflect the rest of the pub. Portions were very generous, the mussels are amazing! The staff were wonderful, very friendly and welcoming and great with our two kids. Would definitely visit again if we were in... More

I booked here for Easter day sunday lunch. The staff were very pleasant and made us welcome. The carvery is reasonably priced £9.95 adults £6.00 for children. The food was excellent and plenty of it. We had a choice of two meats Gammon Ham or Beef. There were lots of vegetables and proper roast potatoes. It didn't matter if you... More

Visited with the kids. Food was excellent, but didn't have all menu available as clearly they had been exceptionally busy - always a good sign. We will be back this holiday!

My husband and I came to visit a friend in Rock and thankfully he brought us to visit this amazing pub. (More than once we came may I add) From the minute you enter you are made to feel like one of the locals. Karen and Steve have created a warm friendly environment with AMAZING home cooked food (so much... More
