As often happens, we came across this pub quite by accident and decided to stop for a meal. We enjoyed it so much we went back for a second time during our holiday to Delabole, Cornwall. The food was quite delicious and well presented. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The surroundings were clean and very pleasant. I understand... More

Found this pub while walking to Rock and decided to stop for lunch on the way back. Very friendly staff and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. I ordered steak (medium rare) which was cooked to perfection and my wife had fish which was just as good. A good range of beers that I sadly couldn't try to many... More

My wife and I called in at the Pityme Inn and were pleased to find a reasonably priced and comfortable restaurant that served god wholesome ordinary food. Sometimes an al la carte meal is not what is required and this place although I am sure would provide that if needed, serves dishes as simple as jacket potatoes. With drinks our... More

We visited with friends (as Trevathan Farm was fully booked) and enjoyed an acceptable Sunday Carvery (only two meats to choose between - but both well cooked). Surprised and disappointed by the disconnect between the very picturesque exterior and the unimaginative mid-80's interior - but would happily return in similar circumstances. Staff quite welcoming but when we arrived (as first... More

Visited this pub in August with friends. As we sat outside we received a laminated menu which was poorly presented, with incorrect grammar, which you don't really expect at a professional pub. We could not start a tab even though we were eating. You have to go to the bar to order, which is acceptable however when we went in... More

Had a family lunch with ages from 2 to 80, all enjoyed their meals. Menu had a lot to choose from and there was plenty of tables both inside and out as well as a nice play area for the children. Food was pretty good and the service was very good (although it was quiet when we visited).

We had passed the Pityme Inn several times and always said we should try it out. Last week whilst staying in Polzeath we booked for Sunday afternoon with a view to trying out the menu and also the Carvery. The Carvery consists of only 2 meats (beef and gammon) and a good selection of vegetables. The vegetables were fresh and... More

We came across this inn on the way to Rock, we were both hungry so popped in. What we found inside was a great atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing food at a good price. We will be going back as soon as we can.
