Visited for an early family supper, I had high hopes due to various awards. I thought our fresh plaice and crevettes dish was poor, it was swimming in butter which ruined the dish. The children's dishes weren't great either. Therefore in my opinion wasn't value for money.

We've been before and we came back. Always good food, pleasant service and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Our Odgi (border collie) felt relaxed and liked it to.

The food was very good and the atmosphere in the pub was friendly. You need to book for an evening meal as it can get quite busy.

My husband and I were on a camping holiday and popped into the Quarryman for a quick drink. Guy, the landlord was very welcoming and friendly and so we're the locals. Brilliant service and we came back for a Sunday Roast which was top notch. The value was great and plenty of veg, meat etc. Loved this place and would... More

Visited after being recommended by friends. Very friendly staff behind the bar and waiting tables. Great food served but still retained the character of a local pub.

Dropped in quite by chance and both had the steak and Stilton pie. Very good with lots of meat and a lovely crust. Looking around the quality and quantity of food seemed to be excellent. Would recommend and in our view not pricey for lunch. Under £10 a head

We had dinner here when we stayed nearby. It is a nice pub with a very friendly and welcoming landlord. Our food was good, but the menu limited and on the pricey side. The house specialty is a Portuguese fish stew which is large enough to share, so we might go back to do just that

Since moving to Cornwall we have on occasions stopped for lunch here. First couple of visits you would have thought we had come from outer space judging by the looks of the Locals now we seem to have been accepted somewhat. I suppose there is always an element of this wherever you go. Either way on every visit our lunchtime... More

We had our family holiday in the area and ate in the quarryman a couple of times because it was convenient. Due to the rather limited menu we sampled most of it in our visits. Anything that hadn't been through the deep fat frier tasted as though it had been thoroughly defrosted in the microwave before any cooking. The steaks... More
