We had stopped off in Wells-next-the-Sea for a quick look around late on a Monday afternoon, and was happy to find this place still open. The staff were increadibly jolly and polite, and the coffee and mince pie were most welcome. Its a lovely place to sit too, looking over the Quay, with the Albatross moored up just outside. It... While walking the Norfolk coast path I had the Wells Deli recommended to me by several people. I visited for coffee and have to say it was some of the best I've ever tasted. The cakes looked great too and there's a selection of freshly prepared soups/salads which makes a nice change from the predictable carb loaded junk you tend... More

This was once a small deli with delicious bits and pieces to eat and this is still part of the package, but now there is also a cafe. I popped in for a light lunch. The Deli and cafe are both very dark brown, the cafe really lacks atmosphere, dark leather sofas, chairs and tables, no newspapers or magazines to... More

We read about this coffee house in the weekly newsletter in our B&B room and we certainly weren't disappointed. Lovely position on the quay with comfortable seating and the coffee was excellent. Sadly due to our large breakfast we couldn't manage one of their beautiful cakes & pastries. We even recommended it to a couple who stopped us & asked... More

Having thought a cup of instant was the closest I'd get to a caffeine fix I was over joyed to find this coffee house...that I have somehow missed on many previous visits. A great coffee!

With a house locally we used to use the Deli, however we have stopped due to a few reasons. Breakfast baps full of fatty bacon and hot chocolate which is just full of unmixed powders. I have mentioned this to the staff a couple of times and nothing has changed. We gave it one last try recently and it was... More

Can it really be called a deli when even the milkshake is made with powder, the choclate caramel slice at about 3" square for nearly £3 was ok but no better than what you can buy from any super market. I'm happy to pay for a nice coffee and cake but when your paying good money I expect above average... More

Getting ready for our return home we decided to pack and breakfast/brunch out, shame we hadn't thought about it before. Lovely fresh brioche filled with sausage, lovely cappuccino what a treat! Staff were friendly and the welcome was warm and happy. Sat and ate our food looking out over the quay on a warm sunny Friday morning. Lovely end to... More

I noticed this had great ratings on here although I didn't read the reviews in detail. After a full day of walking in Wells we wanted tea and a cake to see us through to dinner so made a beeline for this place based on the ratings. First impressions - lovely - although to my mind its not a deli... More
