After struggling to find somewhere that would allow a one night booking we booked the two b&b rooms in the converted barn. Breakfast was even better, the biggest full English ever! Service... More

We have dined here many times and their fayre is always a good end to the day after a day in the Norfolk air. The menu is displayed on a large blackboard and orders are taken at the bar. The food is plentiful and honest and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Our latest visit was for Sunday... More

We were a party of 24. The food was prompt and I had the best meal I think I had ever tasted. The menu was full of lovely choices, even my friend who cannot eat gluten products had a choice of meals from the menu. My choice was full of flavour in every mouthful.

Lovely traditional pub on the edge of Wells next to the Church. Cosy atmosphere, real ales and lovely home cooking at affordable prices, well recommended.

If you want to eat where the locals do, then search this pub out. It does good straightforward food, much locally sourced. Service is friendly and efficient - a welcome change from the many overpriced and over-rated eating places round here!

My husband I ate at this pub twice. On The first occasion we had a prawn curry. The prawns were large, but pretty tasteless, and overall we found the meal disappointing. However, we had seen other diners' meals that looked good, and we liked the look of other things on the menu, so we returned. On the second occasio we... More

Once again we spent 3 nights over New Year at this wonderful Inn. The B&B facilities are excellent, clean, and beat any place we have stayed in, and we have stayed at quite a few. The hospitality is wonderful and the staff are very attentive. The atmosphere in the pub itself is great. The food is not Michelin star, but... More

Four adults and a teenager ate here over the Christmas period, nicely decorated pub with a low but chatty atmosphere at about 7.30pm.We were pointed to a table in the corner instead of being taken to the table and when the waitress came over we were told to look at a large chalk board on the wall and then order at... the lady in charge of the pub for the Saturday night we went could not have been more accommodating when a party of 6 of us were let down on a booking elsewhere on a busy weekend in Wells. Great food and drink and good value; great local fare.

Thank you'd so much for making our early family Xmas dinner so enjoyable. 7adults and 3 young children all well catered for and lovely decorations up too. The food was excellent as usual. Can't wait to come back if we can squeeze another visit in before Xmas! We live in Milton Keynes so quite a trek
