Quick Night out

As always good service and good food, no problem getting a table on the spur of the moment even though they were busy.

Visited this lovely pub whilst en route to Norwich. The whole place was quiet for 1.30 on a Friday afternoon, but it was early January. We asked to be seated at the front table in the restaurant, as that meant we were sitting in the sun. No-one else in the restaurant. Staff very helpful from the off, our bottle of... More

On a full Saturday night we received a fantastic meal and welcome. I had the special of steak and ale pie which was so full of flavour with a crisp short crust topping. My little girl had ham, egg and chips. The ham was so thick and tasty. Friendly service and meal was served quickly given how busy they were!

Booked a table here for a Sunday Lunch out with two other couples and our little boy (5) for 1.30pm. We did have to wait almost an hour before we were actually served our food and really could have done with the little'un being served his food a bit earlier - even if we had to wait. However, when the... More

Great pub and great food. It is a few miles outside Kings Lynn but has ample car parking. The staff are very friendly and the food is gorgeous - in particular love their pies. Service can be a bit slow though even for Sunday lunch so bear that in mind.

Have visited this jem of a restaurant many times now for meals. Staff always friendly and can't do enough to help. My step daughter on last visit is just getting her taste buds for currys and wasn't sure if chicken curry would be to hot for her, waitress went and got a sample for her to try without even anyone... Arrived for lunch. It was only just after 12 noon and it felt a bit cold but we were hungry. I ordered the steakburger at about £6.50. Did not order chips or extra toppings which would have taken it to over £9. Bit pricy for a burger but very nice. My husband ordered liver and mash. When it arrived it... More

We had a fabulous Sunday roast at this establishment last Sunday (19th October). The food was perfect with the biggest homemade Yorkshire puddings I have ever seen, plenty of meat and veg too. Excellent value for money! Service was fast and friendly, what more can you ask for! Needless to say we shall be returning :-)

Visited for lunch with my parents who are regulars here and normally food and service is great however not this time. Our food arrived and all three meals were the wrong order and sent back - the staff apologised and said they would re do the correct order. After a wait our order arrived correct this time but my parents... More

Writing on behalf of my Parents as they do not have tripadvisor. They booked a table for a Carvary at 1pm on Sunday the 4th, Which really wasn't a Carvary at all. They got sat fairly quickly, But from then onwards went down hill.. No waitress/waiter came to the table to introduce themselves, They didn't know who was serving them,... More

We're sorry your parents experienced problems during their recent visit to our establishment. There was obviously some confusion on the booking as we have never portrayed to serve a carvery, our meals are cooked to order which sometimes mean that thrre is a wait on food as opposed to instant service from a carvery . Apologies More
