Poor meal - depressing dining room with flies, slow and bad service. Very expensive. Moderate soup no bread or butter, rubbery chicken, not fresh fish, microscopic veg and potatoes. No wish or time for dessert or tea/coffee. They said their head chef was on and food was 'so good'! desperately needs improved management or ownership.

We stayed at the kings head on Friday a last minute get away recommended by friends, despite the awful weather we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, our room was beautiful and the food was fab, the breakfast was lovely and all the staff were polite and friendly! Highly recommended and will be returning soon!

Stopped in on a whim on the way back from Wells next the Sea and were impressed. Three course lunch for two (no booze - both driving) was less than £40.00. The food was excellent as was the service. Would definitely recommend this place for a meal.

The restaurant is recently refurbished and the service was excellent. The menu has a reasonable choice and most of the dishes use local produce. Both my wife and I had the locally shot partridge, beautifully cooked and served on a bed of red cabbage with potato rosti. The wine list is small but all of good quality and very reasonably... More

Welcoming staff. Delicious fresh food which was well presented and above average in quality. The dining room was well laid out and although it was full we didn't find it noisy.

In summary, lovely restaurant decor and reasonable varied menu. However, running out of 4 courses at 7pm on a Saturday from an already limited menu was quite disappointing. Service good when the restaurant was half full, however at capacity the service fails and you are left unattended to. Also, turn the air conditioning on when it gets hot and busy.

One of Norfolks Best Pubs i think. They are always putting on events for families, Themed Evenings, Quiz Nights etc. The food is Brilliant and the staff are so nice.

We had dinner 4 adults and 3 children. We had a lactose intolerant with us so there were quite a lot of questions and necessary demands which at first the waiter served us with a smile but as the restaurant got busier he got more cranky - to the point that desert was dictated to us and not the other...
