Food just ok and rather overpriced! Lack of cleanliness spoilt it for us, tables sticky and not wiped down. Would not return.

Extensive menu with daily specials - we ate here at lunch time and in the evening and on both days it was busy but we were able to find a table. The food was served promptly and was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful and prices very reasonable.

I reviewed 'The Kings Arms Public House' under accommodation - Unfortunately the overall rating was mistakenly marked as '2'. Please read my review on the accommodation, staff & food, as you will see I can't praise this place enough. I would hate to think that people may be put off by the 2 star rating mistakenly given!

Food was very fresh - service was friendly & prompt - portions were very generous - nice atmosphere - seating was perhaps a bit on the cosy side (as in you could hear what everyone was saying as they were all quite close) Very friendly staff - we heard several visitors being given advice about the best walks (and ones... The building is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming. There is lots of room inside due to all the quaint snug rooms as well as a lovely beer garden. A proper pub with proper home-cooked food (something of a rarity these days!). Lunch was excellent, generous portions. We both had baguettes which were large and very well... More

Good food, good beer and friendly service. Can't ask for much more when sitting outside in their garden on a sunny day.

We stopped here around 2.30pm on the off chance that they were still serving as we were late for lunch and thankfully they were. No complaints with the food at all and the staff were lovely. I have only given this an average score as the main complaint I had was we were all stuffed into the bar area like... More

I visited the pub yesterday to find long queues with very slow service. Once finally served I was very disappointed with the service provided by the middle aged female member of bar staff who was also very rude. I ordered a pint of lager shandy and I would have to say it was one of the worst pints I have... More
