We made a late, last-minute reservation here last Saturday having been able to sort out a babysitter. From the moment we arrived to Kir and a warm welcome, to our departure when the solicitous lady in charge(owner?) offered to drive us home when she heard we were walking home through the woods, we had a wonderful time. We had expected... More

The staff, all friendly. The chocolate cake dry and the cream was not cream. Oily. We had a cafetiere for 2. We poured and found lots of coffee grains floating on the coffee. The waitress decided the answer was to find us a sieve(which had seen better days!) No offer to make us another jug. Then came the irony, the... More

We ate Sunday lunch here last weekend. They'd got the reservation wrong by a week, but found us a table anyway. We had the very decent set Sunday lunch, crab salad starters followed by roast lamb and two desserts and wine by the glass which was fine. The service was prompt and fairly friendly. The interior, whilst not cosy, was... More

Closely packed and bare topped tables, bright lighting and steamed up windows gives the impression of a sea front café but the excellent fish menu, efficient service and quality menu (moistly fish) belies this once seated. I had two starters: a tasty blended fish soup followed by seared scallops (4) on black pudding and sweet pot mash, both excellent with... More

This time, we were invited and our table of 7 guests was booked a long time ago for this Saturday night with a packed house. Including a party of 18 jolly & noisy guests. The food was awesome as usual and, amazingly, the service was faultless. Kudos to the team, kitchen & service, for such an excellent performance. Noted that... More

It was really lovely all so friendly and lovely atmosphere. The best fish restaurant I have been to in a long time. Would really recommend this to anyone visiting Blakeney what a little gem. Go on book a table. Well done The Moorings.

In Blekeney for the week and we have eaten at the moorings twice. Excellent food and service on each occasion. We both had fish for both courses on each visit, it's a fish restaurant you really should ! I would like to recommend the chowder, which was lovely - though in truth I don't think you can make a bad... More

Tried this restaurant whilst staying in Blakeney and loved it. Food was of a high quality, nicely cooked and beautifully presented. Alcohol was reasonably priced and service was excellent.

Visited for lunch. Food and service were both excellent and also good value. Worth a trip if you are on the North Norfolk coast.

Great food, good atmosphere and excellent service all in all worth the money. Would visit again because of good choice of fish dishes on the menu.
