After a visit to nearby Dalton Park we decided to eat at the Crows Nest. It was a bitterly cold day and the car park was heaving. Signs of a decent and popular pub. This was confirmed when we got inside and eventually found an empty table. There was no staff on hand to direct us. After choosing from an... More

You get what you pay for most of the time, the majority of the serving staff are quite young so there's no interaction you are served then the customer five minutes later you are asked if things are OK. Food is basic but not too bad but its busy at peak times expect a long wait.

I liked the multiple Man V Food challenges, the prices were very reasonable as well as the staff being very polite, and the quiz night was also very fun! would definitely recommend!

Never came for the food, just the ale, but it reminded of some of the better wetherspoons i've been in over the years. It's a large bar area with a good bit of atmosphere (even midweek) and has a pool table too. A very good selection of local ales (which you'd expect from a Brewers bat chain). If I lived in... More

Nice food, nice atmosphere and very family friendly. You don't have to book, and in the summer the outdoor seating has a lovely view of the coast.

I visited the Crows Nest last week with my young family as a last minute stop off for lunch when in the area. We're not familiar with the area so simply called at the first place we passed. It was half term week so the pub was busy. We found a table easily enough, but it needed a clean. No... More

Stopped looking for an "oldie world pub"" from the A.A good food guide and found the Crows Nest. Thought, yet another themed, burger and chips fast food restaurant but completely wrong!. Service very good ,snack lunch nicely presented and drinks reasonably priced. Lots of brewery owned establishments up and down the country, would be good if they were all as... More
