Went with family and friends. Great selection. Must say I was a little disappointed with the size of the mixed grill- could do with more chips, only half a chicken breast but service was great- friendly and helpful.

The service we received tonight was exceptional thank you to the lady from Middlesbrough. We arrived after a road trip of 7 hrs 15 mins exhausted and with a great grandmother very hungry, food was served fast, hot and no fuss. Thank you all.

These kind of pubs are all the same standard meals, average priced but nothing you would shout about. I can't say the food was bad but not great. Staff all pleasant

After a visit to nearby Dalton Park we decided to eat at the Crows Nest. It was a bitterly cold day and the car park was heaving. Signs of a decent and popular pub. This was confirmed when we got inside and eventually found an empty table. There was no staff on hand to direct us. After choosing from an... More

You get what you pay for most of the time, the majority of the serving staff are quite young so there's no interaction you are served then the customer five minutes later you are asked if things are OK. Food is basic but not too bad but its busy at peak times expect a long wait.

I liked the multiple Man V Food challenges, the prices were very reasonable as well as the staff being very polite, and the quiz night was also very fun! would definitely recommend!

Never came for the food, just the ale, but it reminded of some of the better wetherspoons i've been in over the years. It's a large bar area with a good bit of atmosphere (even midweek) and has a pool table too. A very good selection of local ales (which you'd expect from a Brewers bat chain). If I lived in... More

Nice food, nice atmosphere and very family friendly. You don't have to book, and in the summer the outdoor seating has a lovely view of the coast.
