I've called in here on several Easter Sundays whilst in the area for the vintage vehicle displays and road runs. After a decent breakfast and looking forward to an evening meal with friends, I've never had an appetite for more than the soup. The menu looks great and my mouth has watered as I've seen meals being served to others.This... More

Really nice to see this place with a good atmosphere at last, looking clean, busy and a spruced up... if I had known they had gone "food on a slate" I would have probably had my supper at Brough Chippy...food falls off a slate, you may as well serve it directly on to the table, they aren't hygienic, the cutlery... Now been a few times and has always been outstanding every time. We had 2 meals from the specials menu and both are recommended , the fish pie and the quiche . The strawberry cheesecake was excellent and is my favourite ,although the sticky toffee pudding comes a close second.

Staying in Winton for the week in old school house. The pub is just across the road so popped in for dinner mid week. We ate 3 courses and all was very good. Beer good, would recommend the EPA. portion sizes very healthy and just what you want after a good hard walk. Would have no issues eating here again.... More

I've eaten at The Bay Horse Inn 3 times now with family and friends and enjoyed it every time. The food is really tasty and beautifully presented, the staff are friendly and welcoming and there is a good selection of local real ales. The Sunday carvery is excellent value for money, and delicious! Overall, a lovely country pub!

Ignore previous reviews (dated before April 2015), The Bay Horse Inn has new owners and it has just been totally refurbished. We were welcomed with a smile and warming conversation. There was a great choice of beer from lager, real ales, german bottled beers along with a selection of wines and spirits. We ate on a Saturday night (best book... More

Came over to see the band playing and pre booked a two course meal. There were 4 of us and we all had an excellent meal. Although a pub style menu the food was presented, served particularly well. A genuine old country pub with open fires and a great atmosphere . The food was particularly tasty and we had a... More

my last review for the Bay Horse was very negative, I was saddened by this as we had enjoyed some lovely meals and great nights here in the past. The new management look to be making great strides in repairing the reputation. A simple not over elaborate menu, good food well cooked and served, you can't ask for much more.... More
