Lovely food but not much of it we had just one small roast potatoe so we asked for extra roast potatoes. There were four of us and we received just 2very small pieces. We looked at our bill after we had left to find we had been charged £2.00 for them! Not value for moneh at all.

We stopped at Kirkby Lonsdale after a long day walking and stopped at the Red Dragon for an early dinner about 4.30pm. The pub is very pleasant and had a typical pub menu, just what we needed. We both had fish and chips, which was really good and arrived promptly. The young barman was very friendly and brought my partners... More

Probably one of the finest Robinsons pubs I have ever been in. We only had a drink, but the place was really cosy and the staff were really friendly. The food coming out looked amazing and we will definitely go again to sample it. Absolutely loved this place!

Good honest pub grub in plentiful portions. One course was more than enough for me although my partner managed two. The lamb was cooked perfectly.

Staying with friends for the weekend in Kirkby Lonsdale and after a day in Coniston returned for something to eat. Having failed to get a table the previous night (Saturday) we were given a table which had been reserved for a large party coming in a bit later after assuring them we would be finished in time. Being a Sunday... More

We dropped into the Red Dragon during a visit to Kirby Lonsdale for some lunch and were very pleased we did. Firstly the draught beers are very good, especially Cumberland Way bitter. We all decided to share the tasting platter which offers a good choice of different dishes and should satisfy most appetites. I can recommend the speciality sausage as... More

Visiting Kirby Lonsdale after the lakes we were surprised how many places had stopped serving meals after 2.30. Great town for tea and cake but July in the main season? We went to the Red Dragon and were spoilt for choice. Welcoming staff and good portions with fresh produce hit the spot. It was busy after we arrived so it... More

Visited for early dinner last week. Food was average and the prices were high for the quality. Hot wings were soggy and certainly not hot and the crab cakes were dry and tasteless. Mains were slightly better but should be about £8-9 each max rather than £10-13.
