Not quite so good as before

As a family we visit this pub regularly. It is in an excellent location for people that have to travel and is a good enough size to cater for all sizes of groups. Went here today for a Sunday roast with my family. I used to eat here regularly before I moved away and was always impressed with the food. We all opted for the beef which was delicious with generous helpings! But unfortunately the vegetables looked and tasted really bland and the roast potatoes hard. I was quite disappointed! We all had... More

Nice place to eat, very close driving to Marlow and Wycombe in a rural setting. Pleasant service and good food. I found the specials on the blackboard a bit faffy - too much to read and chose from.

I went with friends with all different tastes and we chose from the choice of 2 set menus. All the food was superb the only criticism would be the quantity because there was so much! The staff were lovely so friendly and accommodating nothing was too much trouble. All in all we all thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our evening... More

Eight of us booked to meet and eat from the Christmas menu. It is usually very busy so if you don't book you risk being disappointed but for some reason the restaurant area wasn't even half full. We have eaten here before and it is usually busting a the seams. We can recommend the normal Sunday roast BUT unfortunately our... More

the food is really great here but its a lil bit expensive for us, we go for special occassions. occassionally we go with friends but warn them its a bit more expensive but you have a great choice of meals freshly cooked and the deserts if you have room are plenty. nice place to go for a treat. only draw... The food in this pub is absolutely gorgeous. Nice flavour and a nice sized portion. It arrived quickly after ordering - but not so quick that you became suspicious as to whether it had just been popped in the microwave! But I am not a fan of the menu being on a big blackboard - get some proper menus so... More

My son and I were on our way back from Ironbridge and decided to break the journey home. We came upon The Three Horseshoes on a dark and rainy evening. Although tables were reserved by the fire, the pub hotelier gave it up for us. It was most welcome. My son, who has a very large appetite had a combo... More

We booked at short notice to go with an elderly friend. We had a lovely table right by the back window. The menu system is a bit strange with everything written on a blackboard - they could, perhaps think of adapting this a little. The roast was lovely - a choice of three meats, and I believe there was a... More

Visited with family for Sunday lunch. The menu system is quite frustrating as the one huge chalk board (with tiny writing) is the other side of the pub to most of the dining tables. Too much choice really. We all went for roasts. I want overly impressed with food. Overpriced for what you get (£17.50 for a main). All main... More
