We were referred to this beautiful hotel by a friend who have visited this hotel and is a member of the spa. I will say the grounds are just beautiful , Victor who picked us up at airport was the best. Pls ask for him. Friendly and helpful and very welcoming !!! I want to say Michael who is bar... More

We found the service appalling! We had to ask 3 times for a bed for our child, which still wasn't in our room upon our return at 10pm with a very sleepy 5 yr old! The dining lounge had absolutely no atmosphere and made all diners feel awkward, we didn't receive one of our starters and then as they rushed... More

We booked a table here for a treat and it really was a treat, to have an aperitif in the beautiful bar was superb, then to be shown through to our table in the lovely dinning room where our gastronomic experience was about to begin! All 10 courses of it.. sounds a lot but they were all small portions of... More

Attractive building with lovely grounds, however an overnight stay with an evening meal is very expensive and the breakfast was terrible. Cold plates and cold food. Also choice not that good.

Hotel is looking a little bit faded in places now. However, had a good half day spa package which included lunch. This was perfectly acceptable and of a reasonable standard.

Unlike others posting here, we thoroughly enjoyed our 'special occasion' high tea here. OK, it certainly is expensive, although in our opinion it compared very favourably against Cliveden (in the same price league, but over-subscribed and living on its history). At Danesfield we were well looked after. Nice food selection, well presented. A sunny day, and we were able to... More

Myself and my wife stayed for two nights at the beginning of August as we were visiting the area and dining with friends in Marlow. The hotel building does have some interesting history and parts do date back some way. This means it does lack the touches of a modern hotel but the building and extensive grounds do make up,... I recently went to Danesfield House for high tea and it was very disappointing. There are three choices, standard scones and a choice of teas for £15.00 each, then sandwiches, scones and cakes at £25.00 each or the option to have a glass of champagne with your tea, which incurs a further charge. There are five finger sandwiches which were... More

Together with other members of our family we met here to celebrate a special occassion on Sunday 22nd June; the weather was lovely, the surroundings pleasant, our Sunday Lunch menu in the Orangery was OK and the food was OK, but there really was no wow factor at all, which bearing in mind the cost was a great shame. The... More
