Menu overpriced

Nice place to eat and polite staff. To be a normal weekly menu it's overpriced (13,80€) when it should be around 9 or 11 euros.

Excellent "menu" meal with great and wide choice of different items for each course. We had gazpacho and fish souffle for starters, grilled langoustines and tortilla for mains, and lemon/orange-chocolate cakes for dessert. All excellent, fresh, good taste balance. We sat outside in the terrace area. Very spacious. Lots of green. Pleasant ambience - no "muzak". Couldn't recommend more highly.... More

Great fixed menu lunch after our visit to the Dali museum. Simple items prepared great with fresh ingredients and great prices. Would go back!

When in Figueres, I always try to go to l'Ou D'Or. The main restaurant itself it's like a huge conservatory that opens to a garden. All white, surronded by plants, flowers and light makes this a beautiful place to have a meal. Everytime I go, they change the menu and there is something different to offer, sometimes typical catalan others... More

We ventured to this restaurant before touring the Salvidor Dali Museum. As we were told, it was close to the museum, but we had trouble finding the place. I am glad we persisted, we were not disappointed with our lunch. We opted for the menu del dia and all three courses were excellent. The service was attentive and each course... More

Our normal venue was closed for Easter so we chanced on this place. The covered courtyard made for a pleasant venue on a sunny but windy day. I noticed a previous reviewer describes the place like Dr Who's Tardis - by which I guess they mean that you certainly have several rooms to walk through before the courtyard. To me... More

A fantastic place for a very reasonably priced, some may say cheap, 3 course lunch including wine and the food is wonderful. The restaurant is a bit like the Tardis ( Dr Who) as it is huge inside and also has a lovely garden to dine "al fresco". A mixture of Catalan food and modern European. The seared tuna is... More

We have a holiday home in France, just north of the Spanish border, and often visit Figueres on Thursday market days. We always come to L'Ou d'Or and have never been disappointed. It takes a bit of finding and is not over impressive on the outside. Even once through the door it seems small and dark, but go on through... More

We enjoyed a late lunch here after our visit to the wonderful Dali museum. The modest front of this restaurant conceals a very large dining room and a beautiful terrace. We were happy to eat outside in spite of the rather overcast skies. The set lunch menu had a wide variety of Catalan dishes to choose from. We struggled a... More

I stumbled upon this hidden gem by accident, but so glad that i did. Having consulted TA for good restaurants in Figueres, Catalonia, I only found L'Ou d'Or while wandering around an area of Figueres unknown to me. I now realise that TA had been misinformed that this restaurant was in Figueras in Asturias! However, the food was great as... More
