A long afternoon of drinks & tapas

Our visit ended up being longer than expected...mainly because of the cloudburst that took place mid-session! 4 of us arrived looking for lunch & drinks and chose the beautiful courtyard dining area (behind the main enclosed area and reached off the side street. The service was brilliant and the food and wine were great(to the price). The calamari was exceptionally good. Furthermore, the hard wood seats were uncomfortable.

Sidreria Txot’s is located in the main avenue of Figueres, very close to Salvador Dalí Museum and to the town center. This restaurant is a lovely place inspired by the traditional Basque tavern with a modern twist. The main food in this tavern are “pinchos” which consist in a wide variety of fresh and Mediterranean products such as tomato, aubergines,... More

I just had an excellent meal here this afternoon. Fried chicken strips, rice brazed in saucission and salad with goats cheese and quince (that's a new one on me and works well). With a glass of Basque cider I still saw change from 20E.

As you enter the restaurant you notice a display of beautifully presented tapas dishes...a bit like YoSushi but with class! We started with a selection of tapas - all living up to our initial expectations. The house recommendation was 1kg of beef (for four people) which you cooked individually on a heated stone at the table. Whilst this did make... More

The friendly welcoming staff started off a wonderful eating experience where nothing disappointed. Despite being a "cider" specialist outlet, everything we had was quite delightful! The starters and main courses did not disappoint, and along with the tasty desserts made for an altogether rather pleasant dining experience. The sangria was superb! Do not worry about giving Sidreria a try; you... More

Brilliant restaurant with friendly multilingual staff. We stopped here for tapas one evening during our visit south of the border. The terraced area has a real buzz to it and you're protected from the sun too. There's a fine mist spray which cools the area further. The food is sublime.

Clever atomised water sprays kept clients cool and eating plenty of the good food and drinking the local cider (the wine and beer are better we think). The menu is fun in Catalan and keeps you guessing and the food is swiftly prepared and very tasty. Would definitely do another lunch here!!

This is a superb place to stop for a fixed lunch menu - en route from Southern France to Barcelona. Not only do you have Dali's brilliant museum 5 minutes away - but you get some stylish and delicious food - served with wine, beer or ice-cold cider (or soft drink/water) - all for 11 euros. This includes a surprise... More

We ate here several times during a 2 week stay in the area. For many reasons, food, price, service and the desserts!! Staff were not your normal Spanish laid back service. Very efficient, helpful and friendly. The customer does matter here!
