Breathtaking View

Great view and really good home cooking. Visited last week, after recommendation from a friend who has worked in Adeje. Mainly locals and ex-pats. Well kept secret.

Visited here at the end of January 2015. Took a tip from a previous review and arrived just as the sun was setting. What a spot, the mountains behind and a clear view right down to the sea, amazing! We then moved on to the food! We had soup then shared rabbit and chicken with a salad. Everything was lovely!... More

We lived in Adeje for 8 years and use Otelo's very regularly. Fantastic food and fantastic view. A must visit while on holiday in Costa Adeje

Enjoy breathtaking views over the town of Adeje all the way down to the sea. Turn to your left and you see splendid views of the barranca (which the English would probably call a ravine), with the occasional hawk hovering in the distance. The scenery alone is worth a visit, but much better accompanied by a plateful of food and... More

When you are in South Tenerife, you should once take the short ride by taxi up to Adeje village. From the centre of the town it's not far to Restaurante Otelo, but it's up, up and up! A nice but strenuous walk. (Naturally you can take the taxi streight up to the restaurant, but it's not the same...) The place... More

Well after coming to Tenerife for almost 20 years I finally made it to Otelo. Why, oh why did I not make the effort sooner? I went for lunch with the old folks and sat outside on the terrace. I ordered the garlic chicken for 3 with a portion of chips and a bread roll. Around 20 minutes later I... More

The staff are consistant, same people for the 6 or more years I have been going, which tells you a lot about the place. Great views over the Baranks or fire, the food is great value and what you expect, after all you go for the chicken ot rabit.

It is many years since we visited this unique restaurant which is at the start of the interesting and challenging walk up the Barranco del Inferno. We managed to find it again by just keeping going up hill in our hire car! One improvement - they now have their own small car park. The views are the same (stunning), the... More

We were driven to this simple well run family restaurants at the top of a very large hill by a friend who lives out in Tenerife. He told us "it's where the locals eat" and we should go early or we won't get a table, or a parking space it becomes that busy. We were not disappointed. The chicken, Canarie... More

This restaurant was just up the road from our apartment so we went on arrival day & the views in the sunshine were amazing! The food is good traditional Canarian. The service was good and the beer & wine in the sunshine was lovely. If you have a car and can travel up here it should be on your list!
