The waiter was incredibly curt and rude. They got my pizza wrong as it was missing an extra ingredient and rather than recooking it for me they just chucked cold anchovies on and bought it back out. The restaurant is over priced, choice limited and there are a hundred better places to eat.

We tried a few different restaurants whilst on holiday and this was definitely the best we came across. The waiters were very helpful with my limited Spanish and made a fuss of the kids all evening. The food was fantastic, the tuna steak (whilst not Italian) was well cooked and well seasoned and all the meals looked and tasted great.... More

The food was true Italian, but expensive. Tables inside were v squashed and food came a little to quickly, but still good.

We stayed with simple food at this Italian restaurant by ordering pizza and salad with a glass of red wine. The salad mixta was large and filled with a good variety of fresh ingredients, and the pizza was tasty and enough for two. The house red wine was very good. We had a very pleasant English speaking waitress.

We went here last night after struggling to decide what restaurant to go to. We were slightly put off by the Spanish waiter standing at the door dragging people in but went in none the less. We had a good bottle of wine. Service was good. The staff were lovely. However the food was not italian. I am of Italian... More

In the free Tarifa magazine we read reviews on two Italian restaurants, they happen to be located next to each other...when we arrived on the Alameda strip we forgot which one was which! No worries though, La Trattoria was very yummy Italian fare, great pizza and pasta...and the home-made Tiramisu was beautiful. Ok not the cheapest place to eat/drink but... More

we turned up quite early in the evening as the kids were hungry - so got dirty looks from a few members of staff who wanted to carry on their break I think. We were seated and served promptly by a very helpful and genial waiter. The food was pretty average Italian fare to be honest and the kids complained... More

We visited this restaurant our final evening in Tarifa after excellent meals elsewhere during our stay and based upon reviews on TripAdvisor. The staff was friendly enough and quickly found us a table here despite the fact that it was full. Our food came in a timely manner and as we were finishing up, I realized that none of the... More

We read about La Trattoria in Rick Steves' Spain travel guide. After returning from a day trip to Morocco we headed over to the restaurant which is right on the main square right by the ferry port. We ate inside as it was too windy to try outside dining. There were plenty of tables although there were a good number... More
