good pizza and salads

We stayed with simple food at this Italian restaurant by ordering pizza and salad with a glass of red wine. The salad mixta was large and filled with a good variety of fresh ingredients, and the pizza was tasty and enough for two. The house red wine was very good. We had a very pleasant English... read more

We ate several times here during a family reunion stay in Tarifa. It's not always easy to please a big group and to cater for vegetarians; the menu here did just that. The welcome and service was genuine; friendly, efficient and attentive. Between us we had the excellent pizzas, linguine, lasagne and steak. All fabulous. Good wine and a decent... More

Our meal here consisted of a pizza and a nicely prepared Tortelli dish that would have been worthy of 4 stars had it not been for the shockingly small portion size and highly inflated price of 15€, which led to extremely poor value. The pizza was ok, both in terms of quality and value, although it was slightly on the... More

The waiter was incredibly curt and rude. They got my pizza wrong as it was missing an extra ingredient and rather than recooking it for me they just chucked cold anchovies on and bought it back out. The restaurant is over priced, choice limited and there are a hundred better places to eat.

We tried a few different restaurants whilst on holiday and this was definitely the best we came across. The waiters were very helpful with my limited Spanish and made a fuss of the kids all evening. The food was fantastic, the tuna steak (whilst not Italian) was well cooked and well seasoned and all the meals looked and tasted great.... More

The food was true Italian, but expensive. Tables inside were v squashed and food came a little to quickly, but still good.

We went here last night after struggling to decide what restaurant to go to. We were slightly put off by the Spanish waiter standing at the door dragging people in but went in none the less. We had a good bottle of wine. Service was good. The staff were lovely. However the food was not italian. I am of Italian... More

In the free Tarifa magazine we read reviews on two Italian restaurants, they happen to be located next to each other...when we arrived on the Alameda strip we forgot which one was which! No worries though, La Trattoria was very yummy Italian fare, great pizza and pasta...and the home-made Tiramisu was beautiful. Ok not the cheapest place to eat/drink but... More
