One of the most stunning views we have seen from restaurant over Tarifa, Straits of Gibralter and Morocco. We were a party of nine and were very well received. The food was well up to scratch and my desert of figs, rice pudding and brandy sauce was superb. The food presentation was eye catching and made for a wonderful lunch.... More

Recommended by our hosts in Conil De La Frontera, and with the aid of Google Maps and an iPhone, we finally found this place. It really does seem like you're becoming lost, as the road up to the restaurant is plagued by subsidence and the final 500 yards or so are up a rutted stony track. I'll be honest here,... More

We had dinner at El Tesoro twice while we were staying in Betis last week. The food was well worth the journey up the bumpy road. Some very interesting dishes included goat which was really well done two or three different ways. The cooking is typically southern Spanish - but with a twist and it is certainly more interesting than... More

This review is long overdue! We have lunched here on many occasions during the past months and it is consistently marvellous. Best to book at weekends. Ring the mobile number, not the landline. Suss out what he (Jesús) is cooking in the kitchen and ask him what he recommends on that day. He never comes out of his kitchen and... More

Firstly, for those of you who try to find this restaurant, the very best of luck. Don't be mistaken in thinking that it's anywhere near El Miro, because it isn't! Look carefully at the map and watch out for the signs. When you arrive there, it has a fabulous view overlooking the bay. At this time of the year it... More

You ask if this was the best meal in a restaurant - YES IN SPAIN. Because generally the food in Southern Spain is poor. This is a wonderful restaurant in a great location. We stayed just below at Paloma Camping (also good). Our only complaint was that a group with eight under three year old children arrived. (anywhere else they... More

We learned about this restaurant from our hotel in Cadiz. It is well hidden on the slope of a hill so driving instructions may be useful. Once there you will enjoy delicious offerings from their kitchen on a terrace with a breathtaking view over to Morocco. The restaurant is busy. Advance booking will secure a table.. Do not miss this... More

If you're a looking for a great Spanish restaurant with affordable prices, go to El Tesoro. The view over the Tarifa bay and the ocean is really amazing. The food is local and has a good quality. The staff is a bit unexperienced. The way to get there was quite difficult for us, but we loved the food, the view... More

We went for a birthday dinner and had the most amazing meal with a view to die for! The whole restaurant is hidden up in the mountains but gets full every night so they must be doing something right! The wine list is large and focused on local wines with Cadiz mainly the supplier. The prices range from £12 -... More

We have been coming to this part of Spain for many years and only just discovered this restaurant last year. Yesterday we went for our third visit and had another enjoyable meal. It is the dining experience on the terrace that most people come for and the view is one of the best in Spain! The service has always been... More
