We visited on the last day of the season, they were closing down until March 2015. The Chef and waitresses were all very pleasant and the views were spectacular. The food was reasonably good but I left just a little disappointed, after all the rave reviews I had read. The menu only had a few choices of meat, chicken, tuna, veal and lamb for the... More

We arrived there thru several locals recommendations. Certainly a great view in a beautiful day, but the food was a true disappointment. I share with my husband their CHULETON DE RETINTO, T-BONE, 1 kilo of tasteless meat. Someone else try the Tuna, from the nearby waters. It was frozen and tasteless also and the other person request a sirloin medium... More

We spent in week in Tarifa and had two great experiences at El Tesoro. The goat was amazing, the ham melted in your mouth and the deserts imaginative. We were a table for 10 on a saturday night they could not have been more attentive!

I'm really surprised to see so many positive (and recent) reviews of this place as our experience was quite different. We found the service to be appalling, none of the waiting staff even attempted to smile and one of them virtually threw the food at us. The food itself was mixed - our starters were quite nice but the mains... More

One of the most stunning views we have seen from restaurant over Tarifa, Straits of Gibralter and Morocco. We were a party of nine and were very well received. The food was well up to scratch and my desert of figs, rice pudding and brandy sauce was superb. The food presentation was eye catching and made for a wonderful lunch.... More

Recommended by our hosts in Conil De La Frontera, and with the aid of Google Maps and an iPhone, we finally found this place. It really does seem like you're becoming lost, as the road up to the restaurant is plagued by subsidence and the final 500 yards or so are up a rutted stony track. I'll be honest here,... More

We had dinner at El Tesoro twice while we were staying in Betis last week. The food was well worth the journey up the bumpy road. Some very interesting dishes included goat which was really well done two or three different ways. The cooking is typically southern Spanish - but with a twist and it is certainly more interesting than... More

This review is long overdue! We have lunched here on many occasions during the past months and it is consistently marvellous. Best to book at weekends. Ring the mobile number, not the landline. Suss out what he (Jesús) is cooking in the kitchen and ask him what he recommends on that day. He never comes out of his kitchen and... More

Firstly, for those of you who try to find this restaurant, the very best of luck. Don't be mistaken in thinking that it's anywhere near El Miro, because it isn't! Look carefully at the map and watch out for the signs. When you arrive there, it has a fabulous view overlooking the bay. At this time of the year it... More

You ask if this was the best meal in a restaurant - YES IN SPAIN. Because generally the food in Southern Spain is poor. This is a wonderful restaurant in a great location. We stayed just below at Paloma Camping (also good). Our only complaint was that a group with eight under three year old children arrived. (anywhere else they... More
