This place is crazy! But massively good fun. The fish is unbeatable and incredible value for money! Be careful when de-heading your prawns - spraying the Spanish guy next to me with prawn brains was pretty embarrassing.

We visit this fish Tapas bar regularly, the bar is full of locals and their families which creates a good atmosphere. The fish and prawns are fresh and cooked to order (for free). We find it difficult to pass this place without popping in for a cold beer and tapas. Don't sit back and wait for service, the waiters are... More

El pulguilla is by far my favourite tapas bar in nerja it's a seafood lovers paradise I try sticking to the free tapas but normally end up ordering the bigger racions as well, some days we'd even pop in here twice the food is that good, if your a tapas bar first timer don't be shy just go up to... After reading reviews, decided to go past the "cafe" out to the back. Delicious good but no frills, what you see on menu pictures is what you get - no garnish or sides. Enjoyed trying different fish dishes but Paella was too salty

Ate here our first night in Nerja after a long trip. Wanted a good meal. This did not disappoint. Looked like a pick up bar in front, but you keep walking and come out the other side where there is as large an outdoor area with a large number of tables (50-60 at least). Great atmosphere on a beautiful Spanish... More

They have the best fish tapas, a great atmosphere, jam packed with locals and ice cold beer and very respectable house vino. If you go to Nerja then defintely go to the Pulguilla.

This is a nice seafood place. Waiter was very attentive and explained some details about the menu. Good choice if you want a relaxed not so high key outdoor seafood dining experience.

With the outward appearance of a café it is easy to be put off, but this is one of the ‘must visit’ places to eat, so do not pass it by. Each drink comes with a tapa and there are lots to choose from, but if you love fish and sea-food then this is Nirvana. Try the squid, mackerel, anchovies,... More

We looked at this place and thought it was a fast food place, so avoided it. What a mistake! Our second week we decided to give it a go, because my cousin (who lives in Nerja) told it was really nice. We tried it and ate in there every lunchtime, and twice in the evening. What a fab place. Frequented... More

Having visited this restaurant a couple of years ago, I was extremely happy that the quality of the food hadn't changed. We ordered a selection of seafood and it was all straight from the sea. Great quality, efficient service and reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again for the best seafood in town!
