Great Tapas!

Situated in a narrow side street near to the Yaramar hotel in Fuengirola/Los Boliches, this is a wonderful find. The tapas selection is excellent and I can thoroughly recommend the prawns wrapped in potato ribbons and the meat balls. Very tasty. The prices are very reasonable at €1.80 per tapas and... read more

My Partner and I visited this restaurant on Friday 24th July at 7:45pm on a recommendation from a family member who has a holiday home not far away. As it was our first day of our short break we decided to arrive earlier to have an Aperitif at the bar area. My partner had a beer and I was served... More

Have travelled to this part of the world many times and discovered El Rio last year but on my last night in Los Boliches. This year, I made sure to include a visit in the earlier part of my holiday. With two teenagers, who were not very interested in food, I was surprised that when it came that time in... More

I have eaten here before at the restaurant for an evening meal but this time ate at the other side of the alley which is a bar and tapas, the food was great value and very tasty my favourite was the gambas pil-pil which was just the right heat and tasted really fresh, there was so much to choose from... It must be a good 10 years years since we first discovered El Rio and it is as good now as it was then and quite simply remains one of the best restaurants in the area in spite of expanding to include premises on the opposite corner. If we could keep it a secret we would, but that wouldn't be... More

Stopped in here for tapas and enjoyed a few tasty morsels from a very wide ranging, very Spanish, choice, both hot and cold, washed down by a very acceptable Rioja... evening menu looked very appetising, too, and got the impression El Rio was connected to a sister restaurant across the alley. All things considered a pleasant experience

We came across El Rio when we were a title lost walking around, it was busy and the food on the tables looked good. We returned the following night for our anniversary dinner. We ordered half a litre of sangria and a bottle of water... The sangria was very nice! The food is good, very good, my husband had garlic... More

I spent the month of May in Los Boliches and had a great time as always. I visited El Rio many times for lunch and dinner. The tapas are excellent as is the Menu of the Day. Antonio and his staff are always very friendly and attentive. If only I didn't live 3,644 miles away. I hope to return later... More
