The best Fish and the best Service in Nazaré

Last Sunday, we went to A Tasquinha Restaurant in Nazaré. A small but very pleasant place to be lunching. We had shrimp, fantastic grilled fish, and "Feijoada" of shrimps (beans with shrimps). Everything was amazingly well cooked, served with nice Portuguese Wine, we were very close to Heaven... read more

I have eaten here twice. I am not a big fan of this restaurant, the food is not bad but I would not consider it to be good. "Sopa de Peixe" was to heavy and it tasted too much to tomatoes. Prices are good and location too. Staff is also very friendly.

On arrival we were made to feel very welcome with a complimentary drink. The food we had and the service was excellent and very good value for money. We were also given a complimentary glass of Port. A lovely atmosphere and a really lovely Portuguese restaurant. We will definitely return!

We love this restaurant, although not been for a while. Carlos, the owner makes you feel very welcome as does his son, their head waiter and the staff in general. You sometimes have to wait for a seat as it's usually so busy, but it's well worth the wait. The only other fish restaurant I have known to be as... More

Again our faithful guide took us to where locals (and some tourists) eat and again we were not disappointed. My first try of a local delicacy, barnacles where the only trick is to extricate them without drowning yourself in sea water, couldn't persuade the old girl though, my verdict try with an cold beer as they are salty but succulent.... This locally owned family restaurant has such a great reputation, you need to arrive as soon as they open! The food and service is outstanding and quite reasonably priced.

We ate here our first night in Portugal at Anna's recommendation (Quinta Das Rosas). Carlos and the rest of the staff were very busy and attentive. The food is real Portuguese and the restaurant is filled with local people as well as tourists. We had a reservation for 7:15 pm and when we left there was a line waiting to... More

The seafood an rice stew is simply divine! The day special change every day, so I cannot guarantee that you'll find it every day... but if it's the right day, don't miss it! The portion is so big that I'd be enough for 2, I wasn't able to finish it! We had grilled prawns as appetizer and they were delicious... More

basic fish, boiled potatoes and veggies. VERY inexpensive. We received a lot of attention from the owner. A fun meal, sort of bright lights almost pedestrian feel to the ambiance which is pretty typical of this class of restaurant in Portugal. We had a lot of fun and were SHOCKED at how inexpensive the total was. Recommended.
