We had a great dinner here. We arrived late afternoon without a reservation. The owner's son went to great trouble to fit us in about 10pm. My advice is to make reservations at least a few days ahead of time. We had a short wait when we arrived. We were given shots of port wine and apologies while we waited.... More

We went here for dinner on the recommendation of our hotel receptionist and we weren't disappointed. A typical family run restaurant, it's easy to spot by the queues of people trying to get in - reservation really is a must. The food is typically Portuguese, particularly fresh seafood, well cooked and presented by friendly staff. A quality meal for two... More

Enjoyed a very tasty fish with special shrimp sauce , one of the specials for the day. Generous meal with piles of rice and chips, the capers made an interesting addition. I loved the atmospheric little 2 room restaurant, casual but special. The staff were wonderful- I was even given a little sweet shot of something great while I waited... More

We had a lunch at this restaurant and we waited to be served, roughly 40 minutes, as there was a queue. The food was good and the owner was very friendly. The service was slow, but it was due to the restaurant being packed. I would definitely go again, as I'd like to try the seafood rice, which looked amazing.

After coming here for more than 20 years, I thought it was time to write a review about Carlos and his team! Run by Carlos and his sister, this family style restaurant attracts a mix of Portuguese clients and tourists, all welcomed by the same big smile and a nice porto! The food is worth travelling to Portugal for, delicious... More

Lived up to expectations. Carlos, his sister and son provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Very authentic Portuguese. There are two sittings. Approximately 7pm and 8:30-9-pm. Plan your arrival accordingly. We arrived at 8:15 and were seated by 8:30pm on a very busy July Sunday night. Carlos and his son speak English and are incredibly helpful with the all Portuguese menu in... More

We ate here during a stay in Nazare in April 14. We arrived as they opened and were quickly seated. Service was excellent. Seafood dishes were tasty, good sized portions, good value. As noted by others on Trip Advisor, Carlos is the real draw - he treats everyone like a friend, pours everyone a free drink and just has a... More

Just returned from this restaurant. We had a lovely meal. The prawns and warm bread on arrival were lovely. The service was super and very attentive. The sea bream was delicious too. We will definitely go back.
