Just spent 3 days in Nazare. We ate at many places listed on this site. They were all very good. But please do yourself a favour and eat here. Order the rice and seafood and or the pork and clams. I kid you not. This was the best meal I've had here in Portugal. The family running the restaurant does... More

I went there with a brunch of friends. It was just wonderfull. The meal, the sangria and the hospitality. We did not have very much time. We explained Mr Carlos that we were in a hurry, and evertything was excelent.

Recommended by the staff at our hotel, Hotel Mare, and just a couple of blocks away. We had a wonderful late lunch there after visiting Obidos. Grilled sea bass, pate, cheese and bread all some of the best of our Portugal visit. Very small and seems to be mom and pop run. Staff very helpful with our choices. Would have... More

And so is the food! Our hostess from our B&B made an early reservation for us @ 7:00 so the restaurant was next to empty. The server was friendly and fast. Dinner was great - my husband had been looking forward to sardines and finally had them. Both meals and wines are reasonably priced - less than 30E for two... More

We were staying very close to this restaurant and noticed how busy it always was. We managed to get a table without a reservation ( only just!). We had shrimps as an appetizer, soup and then had pork with clams, a traditional Portueguse dish and also pork with Madeira wine. Both were delicious. Very big portions, very tasty. It is... More

Our Lonely Planet Guide Book identifies four “worth-a-try” restaurants in Nazare. A Tasquinha is a small family run restaurant in one of the many narrow pedestrian only laneways and a line up of 20 people without reservations were waiting outside when we arrived at opening time of 7.00 p.m. After about 15 minutes someone came out and held up his... Very close to Nazare's beach, you can find this great restaurant where the staff treat and feed you like family. The grilled fish is very good (and the special dressing) at cheaper price. As it is a small space, you need to book or arrive early. You won't regreat at all.

We had a great dinner here. We arrived late afternoon without a reservation. The owner's son went to great trouble to fit us in about 10pm. My advice is to make reservations at least a few days ahead of time. We had a short wait when we arrived. We were given shots of port wine and apologies while we waited.... More

We went here for dinner on the recommendation of our hotel receptionist and we weren't disappointed. A typical family run restaurant, it's easy to spot by the queues of people trying to get in - reservation really is a must. The food is typically Portuguese, particularly fresh seafood, well cooked and presented by friendly staff. A quality meal for two... More

Enjoyed a very tasty fish with special shrimp sauce , one of the specials for the day. Generous meal with piles of rice and chips, the capers made an interesting addition. I loved the atmospheric little 2 room restaurant, casual but special. The staff were wonderful- I was even given a little sweet shot of something great while I waited... More
