We thoroughly enjoyed our meal

We stayed at the Mar Bravo and after walking around Nazare during the day, opted to just eat dinner at the hotel. We were really glad that we did. All our meals were delicious and servers were very good. The kitchen was a little slow but since we had no place to be, sitting back and enjoying... read more

Excellent choice for fresh fish dinner near the sea. Our beautiful fresh fish was stuffed with parsley and encased in sea salt then roasted. It arrived at our table en flambe in brandy. Our host carefully carved into the salt coating, lifting off the top in one piece. He then skillfully cleaned the fish and served onto our plates. It... More

Excellent food, great wine , wonderful service. Highly recommend fish stew and wine from Douro valley. Moderately priced , with a lovely view of the ocean.

Excellent food with quite and charming atmosphere. that even our vegetarian friend enjoyed. We ordered duck and Salmon which were done to perfect. Our friends got various salad and vegetarian fusiliers. With Sangria the sunset looks more beautiful. Excellent choice.

We stopped in Nazaré along the Atlantic coast. We had lunch at Mar Bravo. We had baby squid as an appetizer and the fish stew and lobster with rice. All dishes were fantastic. Best seafood yet in Portugal. We asked to speak with the chef as we were very impressed by the quality of the food. The service was impecable.

Every one should be informed that this place is the most desgusting place i ever been eating in Portugal. This people have no respect for the clients, and only serve frozen cheep fish with no quality what so ever. The owners are the same of the Hotel Praia and they instruct the staff to tell the clients to go to... More

A lunch of clams steamed in garlic butter raised our expectations. On a Saturday, the place was almost empty and we noted a place full of locals across the street and a large tour group exiting the hotel for a dinner. We shared the cataplanas - a medley of cod, prawns, and mussels cooked in a large metal pot with... More

Excellent fresh sea bass and sardines, all round an excellent meal. We had a party of 13 people, and despite the large group and the fact that we all ordered different dishes, the food arrived in a timely manner and all dishes were well prepared and fresh. It was a very memorable lunch time meal, and if we are ever... More

We went into the Mar Bravo after spotting it during our walk n the beach. The waiter was very attentive and took our orders quickly: fried sardines and a typical sea food and fish Calderon. It took the dishes to arrive 90 minutes. There were maybe 3 or 4 other tables. The food was good, but it does not excuse... More

The lack of music and clientele, made for a poor atmosphere. At our table two steaks arrived under done (medium rare requested, served rare). They took the steaks back to cook further, and were gone so long the rest of the table had finished, and the chips served with said steaks were eaten. Suffice it to say, the steaks were... More
