All our party are very fond of fine dining and have lots experience but declared that this was one of the best ever. The Somelier advised of the best wines to have with the courses. Wonderful restaurant. With one Michelin star and elected the second best restaurante in Europe (within the ones with 1 star) it will not disappoint. By reading the cart you cannot imagine the food, so just go for the Degustation Menu. The service could be much better...

We started the night with a reduced selection of menues and after overcoming this frustration ,found the food very very pleasant. like with any other 1* Michelin starred Restaurants a series of Amuse Bouche etc were floating onto our table. it took a while to reach the first start of the Menue, which was a soured swordfish piece, and so... We decided to dine at this Michilen One Star Restauant to celebrate our 39th anniversary. The meal was a VERY memorable experience. My husbnd and I both love fine dining but tend to more traditonal menus so this was a BIG change. While we did enjoy our evening, you should be prepared for a very different experience. The seven course... More

Thank you very much for your comment. I'm really glad to know that everything went so well. I'm really sorry that we didn't question you about why you decided to come to our restaurant. I have already passed the comment to our Maitre D to make sure that we resolve that situation for our future clients. We hope to welcome... More

We had the great privilege and inexpressible pleasure of lunching here a few weeks ago. In this small Duoro Valley village of considerable charm, the hotel in which this restaurant is located enjoys a lovely position overlooking the river. The room is very elegant without feeling pretentious and we were fortunate to have been the only patrons there that day... More

Lunch here certainly was an experience. I had the full taster menu, which was well worth its price, with a glass of local white with the fish and red with the meat, which I left to the staff discretion. Excellent. It is a succession of amazing appetizers, starters and mains, sumptuously presented. Two suggestions. I found the oyster, however very... More

My wife and I went to Largo do Paço for lunch on a weekday. This is when the place is more affordable - currently they offer a 5-course menu for 35 euros per person, not including drinks. The full 8-course menu would cost 80 euros per person. The place's atmosphere is fantastic. The hotel/castle in which the restaurant is located... More

We stayed at the hotel where the restaurant is based and although usually we avoid eating in hotel restaurants - so that we can experience the wider area - this restaurant was just too good to miss! Thank you very much for your kind comment about your experience in our restaurant. We are always happy to try to accomodate our clients needs. We know that a degustation menu can be, at night a bit too much food, and for that reason, we have created shorter menus, with the same quality as the big ones. We really hope... More
