My chicken was perfect size for me and the veggies were delish. We shared a giant portion of stawberry pavlova just amazing!!! The only... More

We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant in this quaint town on the seaside. The shared vegetables for the table were great. The desserts were wonderful. The owner was very nice. We were lucky to get a table without booking though I think it was a cancellation.

My husband and I visited Whitehorses on the recommendation of our B&B hostess. Although we did not have a reservation we were offered a table outside; the weather was beautiful so it was a great option. The food was delicious although the service was very slow. I ordered the baked chicken wrapped in prosciutto with citrus creme sauce (amazing) and... More

We where recommended this restaurant for lunch but ended up going for dinner instead. We arrived at 5 for dinner but where told dinner service didn't start till 6. When we came back we where met by an extremely unfriendly woman who told us we needed a reservation & said we could have a table in the back garden section.... More

Was in Ardmore today because it was sunny and we wanted to take a trip outside Cork for a change so brought the babies to the beach in Ardmore. Not much to choose from in terms of restaurants in Ardmore so we ate in the Whitehorses and absolutely enjoyed it. Lovely little place with a lovely garden out the back... More

Family lunch here today. Despite a slow start (we were asked to wait outside until a table became free and then forgotten about) and only when the more experienced waitress took charge, normal service resumed. Chowder was first class and no complaints from kids on what were good kids meals. Service was very good - prompt and friendly. Lunch for... More

We had a gorgeous lunch here on a lovely sunny afternoon. The food was lovely but the place was quite busy and the service from one or two staff members slipped a little as a result. Spoon falling on the ground and put back on the table instead of being replaced. We also felt we were rushed out the door... More

Once again my second visit to this great restaurant. It is expensive, however the meals and service are excellent. I had the chowder at 9.50 eu. but worth it. A basket of delicious bread. The deserts are divine. It was nice that a boat trip was suggested to me (by perhaps the manageress) which I took up. She kindly gave... More

while on a day trip with my husband and two young children to Ardmore we went looking for a place to eat lunch, we went to the local pub who did not serve food but sent us up to whitehorses. to say we were treated like dirt in the restaurant is an understatement. we walked in and the "lady" who...
