Sunday lunch

Stopped for a quick bite to eat on way to cliff walk. Only had soup and a coffee but it was delicious with lovely home made brown bread. Quaint garden at the back is nice to sit out on a fine day. Desserts looked to die for.

Fantastic experience!! We we seated at a lovely round table for 4. The tables alone are impressive with simplistic yet tasteful settings, dotted with lovely local pottery pieces for salt&pepper, water jug etc. Once seated we were given a nice fresh selection of breads to enjoy while deciding on their fantastic menu. The menu is presented on a wicker style... More

Fantastic restaurant, brilliant food & more than generous portions. To be honest its hard work finishing 3 courses so I recommend just having two or even share starters and desert as there is plenty to go around. Well worth a visit!!

Booked a table for 5 at The White Horses for a small family celebration. Arrived at the designated time and shown to our table. The first problem was we were only handed 2 menus and the wine list which I thought was strange having to share a menu but we muddled along. The prices of the starters were quite expensive... More

A group of 12 of us visited the Whitehorses tonight and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement! For the price we paid for the meal you would expect to be given a feed for a king! My main course of Chicken Curry which consisted of one chicken skewer (5 little pieces of chicken) a drizzle of curry... More

We visited Ardmore today and spotted this restaurant. Service is very efficient with everyone seeming to look after a different aspect eg one person took order, someone else brought water etc. As I have dietary requirements I was a bit nervous as I knew nothing of the place but I can say it was a pleasure! I explained my requirements... More

most restaurants nowadays offer terrific value in terms of early birds and after visiting white horses I realise they offer value outside of early birds when I compare white horses. Four of us had dinner and found the menu poor - choice wise. Very very pricey and I compare to many good restaurants in cork city and Midleton in particular.... More

We were in Ardmore for our wedding at the Cliff House Hotel and decided a meal out for all the family (wedding party) would be nice. We looked around Ardmore but could only see that The Whitehorses restaurant was open, and then only on a Friday and Saturday night, not suprising as it was October and therefor not the height... I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent. The main courses are expensive, Dublin or London prices, but the selection of vegetables that come with the mains make it good value. The desert's are always a wonderful treat here. Service is efficient and can be slow when the resuarant is busy. Lunch... More
