I have now visited this restaurant on three occasions and will never do so again. On our most recent visit we arrived for lunch only to be told it wasn't open yet (despite arriving at the designated time stated as its opening time on the front door) so we came back half an hour later to be told it was... We didn't have reservations & so where escorted to the waiting room out back. A warm fire, bottle of wine & others from around the world were there to talk to. Just one more experience that delighted.

Again like most of the previous comments the staff really let the place down. The desserts are amazing, the location is great but the staff really need more training. Our food came out in stages so some were finishing whilst others starting, when we complained we got no apology and the staff were unfriendly throughout making no effort to make... More

Food was great........we started with soup served with fresh brown bread, half duck which was excellent and fillet steak done to perfection served with veg and potatoes. The portions are quiet big so no room for dessert. It is a very casual atmosphere and service is quiet laid back but efficient. Two courses for two with bottle of wine for €91...............very... Best place to eat in the sunny south east the seafood crepe is my favourite and I go back time and time again for it. I have been going here for years and the good has never failed however I feel thst the staff need proper training and it costs nothing to be friendly. A welcome smile goes along way.... More

Had my reservations about going here based on previous reviews. We were staying in Ardmore for a week 23rd - 30th August. We went in for lunch on the Wednesday and I have to say the reviews mentioning the staff unfriendliness was correct on this occasion. It was mostly the younger staff that were unfriendly and had no general manners... More

My chicken was perfect size for me and the veggies were delish. We shared a giant portion of stawberry pavlova just amazing!!! The only... More

We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant in this quaint town on the seaside. The shared vegetables for the table were great. The desserts were wonderful. The owner was very nice. We were lucky to get a table without booking though I think it was a cancellation.

My husband and I visited Whitehorses on the recommendation of our B&B hostess. Although we did not have a reservation we were offered a table outside; the weather was beautiful so it was a great option. The food was delicious although the service was very slow. I ordered the baked chicken wrapped in prosciutto with citrus creme sauce (amazing) and... More
