We were very impressed with the food, with was fresh, local and very tasty and as a family the option of half portions at half price for children was appreciated. We opted to eat in the garden and as it was a sunny day we didn't mind waiting for food which we expected on a busy Sunday. The menu is... More

Cycled here with a friend today. Can't believe I have been missing out for so long!!The food was our of this world, excellent choice. The staff couldn't of been more accommodating. We sat out the back in the little garden it's a real sun trap. It felt like we were abroad. If you like a good meal in a nice... More

Okay, we tried this restaurant despite the bad reviews because it was the only option besides the Cliff House which we thought would be a little formal for how we were dressed. As we sat and waited for someone to take our order we watched how service ran. We very quickly identified that this restaurant had some clear issues with... More

I was in Ardmore on business with my work colleague and came across this restaurant which looked beautiful. We walked inside to a lovely interior, a great display of desserts and very unfriendly staff! They did not smile or welcome us and immediately I felt an attitude and coldness. We were looking for some sandwiches and tea about 11.30which was... More

Fabulous dinner in White Horses. Food is fantastic - every bite! Food is excellent however you do pay for it. Not cheap by any means. The staff are very friendly and helpful but are definitely not aware of fine dining service (passing plates in front of you, not from behind, stacking plates on the table when collecting them, like being... Although the service is somewhat unusual, and slightly random, it actually added to the evening. It was like getting served by your Aunt and Uncle. you might either love it or hate it - but the food was delicious - simple but perfectly cooked fish with a beautiful sauce - fresh vegetables that were out of this world, and a... We ate here one of the two evenings we were in Ardmore. The restaurant is lovely, warm and inviting. The service was good. They get quite busy, but the three ladies worked hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. The food was very good, but the portions were out of whack. I hate to complain about too much... More

We stayed in Ardmore recently on a weekend getaway from Dublin, and dined at Whitehorses as a family. We were pleasantly suprised - delighted, in fact - by the quality of the food; creative and delicious, with equally wonderful presentation. The lobster thermidor was divine, and comparable to the freshest lobster I've eaten right off the docks in Maine. The... More

We stayed up the hill and wondered into this beautiful restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. They use locally made pottery for the salt and pepper pots and water pitchers. The bread is fresh, the cheese is delicious and they are very kid friendly with chicken fingers and hamburgers for a reasonable 6 Euro. We actually went twice in one... More
