We tried Penguin Ed's this past week. The pulled pork sandwich had the best flavored and textured pork I've had in Fayetteville. I will certainly return for that. The ribs had an excellent flavor and smoke ring, but they were a bit chewy. I did keep wishing I had the BBQ sauces from Whole Hog Cafe to go on the... More

Ribs are good and telephone by the table are cute yet the food is pretty "so so". Nothing really is special so just a fast casual spot to eat.

One of the best places in Fayetteville to eat and a true historic restaurant. Staff, food, and old atmosphere are great.

Everything we had was excellent. The fried pickles were crisp and delicious! Ribs and half chicken were terrific. The crown was the homemade fried pies! Hot and fresh! Excellent meal and great service!

This is one of my favorite barbecue restaurant. The meats are always moist and tender. The flavor is great. This is my family's favorite.

My son and I went to Penguin Ed's for lunch. The decor was fun and funky and we enjoyed calling our order in on the phone at the table. (That was definitely different!) I ordered the rib platter and it was alright. The ribs I found to be a bit tough but had really good flavor. The beans were tasty... More

If you don't mind the odor of barbecue while you eat eggs, hashbrowns and fruit, this place really does have a nice breakfast on the weekends. They are strict on the 11 a.m. cutoff though. I once got there at 11:05 and they stopped serving breakfast and my friends had already arrived so I had to go in. Tough to... More
