Great, southern BBQ, with a large variety to choose from. Their menu also includes some non-BBQ items, such as fried pickles. You can pick up the phone at your booth / table and order, or just wait until the waitress comes by. Great food, great service, fair prices. I tired the BBQ polish sausage. Was a bit surprised when it... More

I've eaten penguin ed's since I was a college student. All of their meats are very tasty but the chicken and brisket are typically my go to meals. I prefer this location over the mission and crossover because it gives you that old school BBQ house feel. Make sure you walk out with a cookie. That is certainly the "icing... More

Love penguins, who doesn't? Really looking forward to this place since it got great reviews but... brisket and pulled pork was dry, tough and tasteless. Even my beer wasn't cold. Nice staff and good service though.

Went to Ed's recently, had the rib and chicken combo. The ribs were huge, meaty and smoky, but not too strong. The chicken was half of a chicken, smoked perfectly. The fries were pretty standard, nothing special (got the regular, not battered) and green beans were very good but a little watery. Overall a delicious meal, too much to eat... More

My husband and I discovered Penguin Ed's downtown local almost two years ago and it quickly became our favorite BBQ in the entire area. Last year some close friends came down from Eureka Springs and wanted us to take them. It was a busy time of day on a Saturday so we chose to go to this local instead. Same... More

This is not only great food but is a fun place. The value per $ is as good as it gets. A BBQ plate with meat and 2 sides at 6.95 is almost more then one can eat. You will love this place.

This not BBQ it is thin sliced roasted meat. There is no smoke ring or smoke taste. The beef is not even good smothered in BBQ sauce! I can't believe locals rave about this place. One good trip to Memphis or Texas would provide a good example of what BBQ should taste like. If you want BBQ in Fayetteville then... More

Love there BBQ chicken sandwiches, baked beans and potato wedges. They have coloring pages and a chalk board towards the end to keep the kids occupied. Excellent food, and Friendly service.

I have been coming here for years and the food used to be good, but now it's great. Always friendly staff and always great food. You can sit down and enjoy a cold libation or get a fresh warm cookie.

The building is very run down and in an awkward location at the crest of a hill and turn in the road. It had a very small seating area and small bathroom. The food was fair. Low quality, fatty beef. The pulled pork was soft, but flavorless. The BBQ sauce, sadly, didn't add anything to the meal. To top it... More
