Over so many years, every visit gives us a great meal, just the right price, and we never wonder what quality meat we will be served. Whether the roasted chicken, the pulled pork, the ribs (they are great), even a hamburger. It is ALWAYS good!!! And all the sides are good, home cooking. Nice friendly service, and quick. It is... Everything is great here, but especially the Polish Sausage. Again, the hot, spicy sauce is just great and not really very hot, just enough to let you know it is there.

The bar-b-q beef was very flavorful and cooked to perfection with just the right touch of sauces. The fries were just right as they weren't over or under cooked. I liked that you had a choice of inside or outside seating on the open air patio. Being as the weather was nice during my visit I chose to sit on... More

First off, the whole reason we ended up at Penguin Ed's was self-serving. Being from the Tulsa, OK area we were belatedly chasing down the Penguin's on Parade statues that dotted our landscapes for years that are disappearing at a rapid rate for various reasons. When we learned Ed's had bought several we immediately headed to Fayetteville to take pictures... More

Friends and I stopped here one evening on a whim. The Bar-B-Que was average. Nothing stood out as either good or bad. Though the sauces tended to be on the mild side. Order at the counter, take a seat and they bring you your food. It is a very relaxed atmosphere.

Penguin Ed's does have very good BBQ for the Fayetteville area. I pass on the pork (being I grew up in the Memphis area) when I go and get the chicken. A very good BBQ chicken, but if you have never been you should still have a taste of their pork BBQ.

Joined the Greater Kansas City Auburn Alumni Club with a tailgate session catered by Penguin Ed's BBQ. Very tasty brisquet and cole slaw; the ribs just melted in your mouth. i had never heard of this place; however, several of our members had and i am very thankful that they made this suggestion. Several police officers, once they heard what... More

My daughter and I stopped by for lunch as a Professor at the University of Arkansas had recommended this place. I was a little hesitant at first as the outside looked a little ....... well modest, but the food was truly great. Service was quick, the staff was very friendly and the prices were a bargain. I highly recommend this... More

A buddy and I recently had lunch at Penguin Ed's in Fayetteville. It's a small barbecue restaurant with a patio for extra seating. Orders are place via a phone at each table. The ambiance is normal hole in the wall Americana. We got fried pickles as an appetizer. These were coated in a Tempura-like batter and were quite tasty. We... More
