First time trying Cafe Rue, not a bit disappointed! The service was excellent, very friendly. I loved the trivia cards on the table. Restaurant was a bit chilly, but quickly changed once the food was served. Flavorful crab cakes. Shrimp pontchartrain was creamy and spiced just right. Baked mac & cheese was a bit dry, but great flavor none-the-less. Finished... More

this is a Cajun restaurant and the food is as good as New Orleans. The only disappointment is there were no oysters on half shell the night we went. Also, we went on a very cold night and since this is a small restaurant surrounded by large windows, it was very cold inside the restaurant. However the food made up... More

select menu items, was delicious and an absurd amount of food still eating left overs. Service was great, but we went early so didn't have anyone else there to start with. It's a little pricey but worth it. I would go again. Wasn't too spicy. Overall great experience.

What a great surprise to find some New Orleans creole cooking in the Ozark's. Don't let the looks of this place concern you, like many great food haunts, Cafe Rue will impress you more with the cuisine more than the atmosphere. Try the stuffed catfish, you will not be disappointed.

Small but really good food. Atmosphere lacks but it,s a good place to go for dinner. The White chocolate bread pudding is to die for. Recommend for Creole foodies.

What a treat. Delicious favors, amazing food value! Appetizer of Fried Green Tomatoes with Shrimp Remoulade. Yes. So good! The two of us ordered 1. The Seafood Platter ( fried shrimp, crawfish, catfish, and crab cake, yum) with Red Beans and Rice, and 2. Shrimp Pontchatrain (Tasso Cream Sauce over pasta). Loved every bite. I ordered the petite serving, and... More

There are not enough Cajun restaurants across the country and this one is definitely good. I like freshness and quantity of most of the food but it does seem like salad is made too far ahead and was wilted. The fried crawfish is lightly fried but I'm not a fan of the remoulade dipping sauce. The étouffée is good but... More

Another hole in the wall near the Pesto Cafe which we loved. The food was really mixed, as was the waitperson. There were only three tables on the night we visited, and the server forgot one order, got another wrong, and forgot to bring the coffee. Very nice though! We ordered a variety of items to try. The crab cakes... More

Great New Orleans style food. Atmosphere is good. Small area unique parking, but worth it. Roll in and eat up.

Love eating here. Food is always wonderful. The gumbo is always great amd the lunch specials can't be beat. The dinner menu is awesome too. Try the fried green tomatoes and the firecracker shrimp appetizers.
