Great New Orleans style food. Atmosphere is good. Small area unique parking, but worth it. Roll in and eat up.

Love eating here. Food is always wonderful. The gumbo is always great amd the lunch specials can't be beat. The dinner menu is awesome too. Try the fried green tomatoes and the firecracker shrimp appetizers.

We went at friend's recommendation and were pleasantly surprised because the outside looks like the "no tell motel" You really have to look for it but so worth the trip. The firecracker shrimp appetizers were wonderful. They have a good wine selection. Everyone in our group of 6 ordered different dishes and all were great! We are from Wichita, KS... More

My wife and I dined here for a Sunday brunch. As we were walking up we noticed unorganized boxes stacked in the windows. A tale tale sign, I thought to myself. We wait for a few minutes before we were acknowledged. There are about 14 tables with 6 tables being occupied and 2 servers. We wait about 10 minutes before... More

My husband and I ordered the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer and it was delicious as was the fried shrimp. The menu offered many dishes that I just can't remember their names but if you want authentic New Orleans food than try this restaurant

I recently choose cafe Rue Orleans for a get together with friends. As my wife and I had moved back to the area after living in Houston for years. We wanted to have a nice dinner to catch up. I made a reservation a couple of weeks in advance. During my first phone call I was told "We don't take... More

I went to this restaurant for dinner - the place is pretty casual - parking is on a steep hill. There was a party of 6 when I arrived and only one waitress. She seemed to be more interested in the folks there rather than serving any food....anyway I ordered the mumbo-gumbo and the crawfish etouffee. The gumbo was terrible... More

I love those far away places that make my husband say "where ARE you taking me?" He looked it up on line and said "we're going to a diner in a parking lot of a motel??" Yes. We entered through the first floor, which smelled like fish, but must have been the bar, obviously a regular mistake because we were... More

Our kids have eaten there a few times, we went there with them. The place is not fancy. It is however busy and the food is why. Everything from gator bites, to fried crawfish tails were well prepared, great sauces, and just the right amount of heat. The Catfish Tchoupitoulas is Catfish filet stuffed with crab cake, topped with seafood... More

Cajun with a soul food twist. Service is excellent - company incredible - food is finger lickin' good. Bloody Mary's could get ya' in trouble. No better Cajun outside Louisiana. Take time to meet Maudie and Carla - you will love them.
