The prices aren't low, but the steaks are terrific. We just had the petite filet; it was a nice thick piece of meat, and was perfectly seasoned and broiled. The biscuits were very good, and the side mushrooms were the best I've ever had that I didn't make myself. We didn't at all care for the marinated salad. It simply tasted... More

A good steak starts with a good cut of beef! Doe's does just that and finished it off cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a great steak but not looking for the white table cloth atmosphere, this is your place, Great service! Great food! Great atmosphere! Wish there was one closer to home!

If you like big steaks in an unpretentious atmosphere, then this is a good place for you. Don't come in expecting a $15 steak, though. A good meal here will run you $50 but you won't find a steak this good and thick at those places with peanuts on the table.

My first experience here. Party of ten at 5:00pm on a Friday. I ordered an 8 oz fillet with red potatoes. Water to drink. My steak was $32. Note: be prepared to wait 45 minutes for your steak to cook. Pros: seated quickly, drink orders taken promptly. All of the servers looked well kept. Server stopped by the table often.... More

Don't listen to the whiners complaining about price. The steaks at Does are awesome. If you want a cheap steak go to Golden corral. Excellent steak, tamales, salad and fries. Great place for a special occasion.

I was told THIS was the place to go for a steak. I drove uptown, and there was NO parking close. You have to walk if you want to get there. Once I went in, I was not thrilled with the decor or the way the staff was all sitting around until someone came in. The menu was a shock... More

I had never had tamales like this before but will probably have them again. The decor and atmosphere is what you would expect from a restaurant with a name like "Doe's Eat Place" but it is quaint and friendly. Give it a try!

My wife and I stopped by Doe's with friends after attending a U of A reception. We had eaten hors d'oeuvres at the reception earlier so we weren't wanting one of their big steaks. We ended up ordering tamales and shrimp and boiled red potatoes. Sharing these appetizers was enough to satisfy all of us on this late evening. The... More

Great location. The downtown university feeling frames it well. Great service. Feels like a country bar with cleaner tables. Fantastic and groovy. The decoration is laid back. I'm happy it is not as loud as the one in fort smith. Food, well be ready to eat a whole cow. Don't have lunch. You will want to be hungry because it's... More

Go hungry because the steaks are Big and Juicy. The menu is very limited, steak and tamale with red potato side. I think maybe boiled shrimp too. The choices may be limited but the size of the steak will feed two people. The atmosphere is very relaxed and fun casual. The place was busy, we sat at the bar for... More
