Don't listen to the whiners complaining about price. The steaks at Does are awesome. If you want a cheap steak go to Golden corral. Excellent steak, tamales, salad and fries. Great place for a special occasion.

I was told THIS was the place to go for a steak. I drove uptown, and there was NO parking close. You have to walk if you want to get there. Once I went in, I was not thrilled with the decor or the way the staff was all sitting around until someone came in. The menu was a shock... More

I had never had tamales like this before but will probably have them again. The decor and atmosphere is what you would expect from a restaurant with a name like "Doe's Eat Place" but it is quaint and friendly. Give it a try!

My wife and I stopped by Doe's with friends after attending a U of A reception. We had eaten hors d'oeuvres at the reception earlier so we weren't wanting one of their big steaks. We ended up ordering tamales and shrimp and boiled red potatoes. Sharing these appetizers was enough to satisfy all of us on this late evening. The... More

Great location. The downtown university feeling frames it well. Great service. Feels like a country bar with cleaner tables. Fantastic and groovy. The decoration is laid back. I'm happy it is not as loud as the one in fort smith. Food, well be ready to eat a whole cow. Don't have lunch. You will want to be hungry because it's... More

Go hungry because the steaks are Big and Juicy. The menu is very limited, steak and tamale with red potato side. I think maybe boiled shrimp too. The choices may be limited but the size of the steak will feed two people. The atmosphere is very relaxed and fun casual. The place was busy, we sat at the bar for... More

This is a great place for dinner as long as you want a steak or tamales. The steaks are huge and delicious - cooked perfectly. Don't expect much else in terms of menu selection. Steak is their specialty and they are proud of it. Decor is casual but fun.

Steak was good, not great. Prices were for super fancy steakhouse and this was not - plastic tablecloth, old dirty menu, not friendly at the front - almost arrogant. Servers were very nice though. Marinated salad - gross - cheap way to do a salad, not fresh or crisp. No dessert menu, good beer selection. Glad I tried but will... More

Stopped in before a razorback game. Very casual and loud atmosphere. Ordered the ribeye- 2 lbs of some serious steak, a bowl of mushrooms, and a beer. Wow! The steak was perfect!!! Not your average steak.

Our group of 6 went in after a Razorback game. We have eaten here before and the food is not bad, but the prices are very high for what you get. We were led to the back dungeon even though the more appealing front area was less than half full. When we asked for a table in the front we... More
