Beautiful food and friendly staff

We regularly visit The Fiddlers for their Sunday Carvery and it is always a great experience. We have young kids and staff are always prompt in asking do we need a high hair or help with our trays. This makes eating out so easy. Food selection is brilliant and most importantly tasty! We have... read more

The fiddlers elbow served a lovely carvery. I had chicken cordon bleu with potatoes and veg. A lovely meal with a complementary coffee for €11.00. Carrots and broccoli slightly undercooked nevertheless a great experience. Nice and friendly wait staff. Would recommend.

Dined here one Sunday and was extremely impressed by both the selection of food available and the service. The venue was clean and not too noisy. Staff were polite and booking wasn't necessary. Toilets were also clean. Overall I would certainly recommend

We had an outstanding meal here. The food was exceptional and the service was wonderful. This is our second trip here, the first completely by accident, this time we chose our weekend break destination based on this restaurant. We hoped it would be as good as we remembered. It didn't disappoint. We will be back for more.

Was passing through Carrickmacross visiting some college friends last Sat (13th June) with my Daughter of 21 months who was getting very agitated in the car so we stopped in for a bite to eat! I had the most pleasant waitress to greet me (Caron) who straight away brought me over to a lovely table at the window and got... More

Was visiting through carrickmacross and went in to town for a bite to eat. The building is located in the middle of the town and looks like a regular pub, but when you go inside its like a castle! It's quirky and different, not your average restaurant! It was a Thursday evening, and it was fairly quiet, but that didn't... More

We popped in here on Sunday the 15th of June for a bite to eat, with our 20 month old grumpy son! We were greeted and seated quickly, a high chair provided and menus given. We ordered quickly for our son, and straight away the waitress came back with colouring pages and crayons for him! We ordered, two stirfrys, and... More

I was in carrickmacross shopping with my 18 month old toddler and fancied something to eat. I checked out TripAdvisor and saw that the Fiddlers Elbow was number 1 and decided to go there.....I was not dissapointed. The building is beautiful inside. Very nicely decorated. I was met with a very warm and friendly smile from the chef (Joey). I... More

It was very good of you to give such a wonderful review about your visit to us with your son. Both Joey, Tara and all our staff are trained to understand that it is also the little touches that you mentioned, that go a long way to making the customers experience a memorable one, while hoping to ensure a return... Great food and staff were very helpful finding us a table and assisting with trays and drinks. I have been here a few times now and always happy with the food (generous portions) and service. Biscuits with the tea/ coffee is a nice touch too.
