We dine in the Fiddlers Carrickmacross regularly. We fine the food excellent and the staff very courteous and friendly. They go out of their way to make you welcome. We attended a funeral lunch recently and the meal was first class-delicious. We'd recommend the Fiddlers highly for a meal mid-day or evening. Tess and Brian.uni

Based on tripadvisor review we choose the Fiddlers Elbow to eat in while in Carrickmacross for the night...it was a good choice. Food was very good and everyone in our party was satisfied with their meal. Service was friendly and attentive and overall this bar/restaurant represented good value for money.

Very tasty food with lovely views of the town if you book a widow seat. Can recommend their steak or house special chicken . Garlic popatoes are lovely although a bit firm on occasion.

Part of our vacation package landed us at the Nuremore GC. Being leary of nearby food options, due to the remote location we opted to give this place a try. It was one of the best experiences of our entire trip! If she is working, ask to sit in Jacinta's section. She is brimming with Irish hospitality complete with smiles,... More

We were on a short break in Carrickmacross and decided to leave the hotel and come into the town for a meal. It was a Thursday night and things were quiet. The decor of the Fiddlers elbow was stunning with plenty of wood and old style metal furnishings. We had the soup of the day and the steaks and everything... More

A trip to see Derek Ryan in Carrickmacross brought us to this characterful and impressive hostelry. The ambience and décor is traditional but with a modern twist, the menu wide ranging and the service efficient and friendly. This is an establishment that knows exactly what it is doing and understands that good food needs to be simple, well flavoured and... More

The Fiddlers Elbow is always myself and my Girlfriends first choice of a restaurant to go when we are planning a nice evening out together or when we want to get together with family and friends for a bite to eat or even a party night out which is never a problem organising when we ring and book. Our favourite... More

A touch of class in a small town caters for everyone. Great variety from menu & wines. Lovely atmosphere. Was seated to a perfect place for a small family get together but still in eye shot of staff to give us the attention that was needed throughout our visit. Would go back again, highly recommend. ..
