The wife and I ate in The Poets Rest last week having it come highly recommended by our friends. Located on the Collon Road out of Slane on the right hand side there is minimal parking however the church car park is near the restaurant and provides plenty of car park spaces here. We had no reservation on a Saturday... More

Had the Caesar salade, that was amazing! The fish and chips is also very nice. Just the right amount of batter! The atmosphere is good. The people that work there are very friendly. We will come again!

Always wanted to try sticky coke bbq ribs and they were delicious. Then had the 120oz sirloin stake and as a desert lemon meringue pie. Also great! Visiting Slane? Visit this place for a nice meal!
