Bottoms up and oysters down

Guinness and fresh Carlingford oysters for tea. This is as it was and should be. Nothing could be bettered. Just wish there were a few more old taverns like this still.

Having been here before. In fact having held our day after wedding get together last year I am very disappointed to say that a visit here last weekend left us with a very sour opinion. Having waited 15 minutes at one bar and been ignored by staff as others heckled before us we moved to the back bar for the... More

Lovely staff, good value and the food is so fresh and prepared on the premises. The desserts are really home made; We sure enjoyed it.

Me and my boyfriend decided to go to carlingford for a spin saying it was gorgeous weather. After exploring around the quaint village of carlingford we decided to pop into pj's for a bite to eat and quench our thirst. Well this place is a gem, we were greeted by a lovely gentleman that informed us that food was been... More

12 of us called into PJ O'Hares for dinner after a long day at the Carlingford adventure center. This place is full of life, charm and was a great find, fantastic service and amazing food. I would highly recommend the seafood linguine, burgers and ..... well not one of the 12 had any complaints. They have a gluten free menu... More

Unbelievable spot! Out with the girls, bank holiday weekend. The place was packed but managed to grab a table for 3 for a bite to eat; 2x Chicken Goujons & chips, Chowder and a drink each for just over €15 each! Live band on craic was 90 & cocktails where class! It's a must!

We have been going to PJ's for over 30 years. It still retains its charm and it is very popular. Best to go early for lunch. Staff are friendly and attentive and the food is always good. The fish pie is excellent and very generous in size. I would recommend that you skip breakfast if you want to finish it!... More
