Delicious pub food

Great dinner at PJ O'Hares. My husband swears the fish and chips were among the best he has had. Crab claws were great as well. Loved the outdoor beer garden.

Set off today, the best day of the year so far, looking forward to a great day in Carlingford and armed with recommendations to eat here. We had to interrupt two bar staffs' personal conversation to find out where to sit and were then shown to the pleasant beer garden. After a number of minutes, we went up to ask... More

The atmosphere is pubby. June liked her chowder. I enjoyed my oysters. Some kf the larger dishes which passed before us looked rather heavy (for us anyway). The staff are impressively polite. Unlike many places in Carlingford O'Hare's does lunch.

Liked the atmosphere, food and drink reasonably priced. Didn't like grumpy attendant who shouted no at me when I asked if they had free wifi, only grumpy person I met in my weekend in Carlingford

Great pub - particularly early evening. Gets absolutely packed late at night. Friendly bar staff. We didn't eat here but looking at the food being brought out it looked very good. We will be back.

Nice place to eat and again it seems to be a theme of the Carlingford as the staff are very friendly. It does get very busy but that does not affect the service or quality of food.

Really good food, wonderful ambiance and great craic. Highly recommend especially the crab claws in garlic butter with wheaten bread and the chowder. Delicious. Our family in S.Africa now want to live in Carligford.

After a great hike a great place to stop for chowder and Guinness. I'm quite a fan of the chowder and this is a good one, lovely home made bread too - friendly staff & great Guinness what else would you need? Thanks
