A crowd of friends decided to have a night out here. To start with I had a great meal there. Chicken goujons and chips very tasty. The bar itself is huge with different sections. One section had a dj and dance floor and the other was quieter. Definitely will revisit the bar hopefully in the summer.

Have been here twice, both sunny days when we were able to sit outside with the sun beaming down on us. Service was quite good and waiters were friendly and the food was very tasty and plentiful . It is a great place for family of friends and of course there is plenty to see in Carlingford village.

PJ's is a fairly nice pub for both eating and drinking, especially in the summer when the beer garden is actually a viable option. The food portions can be rather large and most would probably be satisfied with just a starter. I've been here many times for both food and drink. The downside of PJ's is when, on the weekends,... We arrived at 7.30pm, sat at a table and were attended to almost immediately by a lovely lass. Starters arrived promptly I had Calamari and my partner had Soup, both were very good. The main course arrived in reasonable time. I had Turkey and ham with trimmings and partner had Goujons, this is where the problems began. The ham had... More

We were in Caringford for the night and went to PJ's for lunch. There were 5 of us and we ordered a bunch of plates. Chicken wings, nachos, ribs, oysters and chips. Everything was very good. We had a few drinks and enjoyed the fire since it was a rainy, cold day. The bartender was a delight and kept one... More

All four of us enjoyed our meals and were served by friendly helpful staff. Lovely clean pub with lots of different areas to sit. My husband and our two friends tried oysters for the first time, followed by excellent fish and chips, chicken goujons and a pasta dish which were all served piping hot and were delicious. The pub was... More

Our family (6 of us) staying in the Carlingford area had dinner on two occasions at PJ's and both times the food was very good, served piping hot accompanied with an excellent pint of Guinness. The seafood chowder and fish pie were wonderful. It is extremely busy on weekends with live music which tends to be very loud. However, a... More

I've visited this bar and restaurant perhaps 6 times over the years and always enjoyed the craic, but the last time we went and had something to eat I was disappointed, very average fish and chips and as Carlingford has some excellent restaurants PJ's needs to up the standard to compete. I'll give it another go in a few months... More
