I'd been told that the wings here were better than tribeca and elephant and Castle. They were right! Great food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff and nicely buzzing even during Monday lunchtime! I can see why they won best casual dining in Leicester this year!

The Avenue is one of my favourite restaurants and it ticks all the boxes. First and foremost, any dish or food I have had here has been top quality and so tasty. The staff are really friendly and nothing is a problem. And Maynooth is a cool town too.

it would be unfair of me to complain too much as we were 15/20 mins late for our table, 3 couples whatdoya expect? we were rushed to our table, food orders hurried as kitchen staff finished early, thanks for taking them...menu was varied, spanish overtones which i love & would have loved to have explored more given the time constraints.... I recently visited this restaurant as part of a group out entertaining 25 customers, the offerings were perfect for the group I had ! Every person I spoke to after the meal had a positive thing to say about Avenue and each said they would return, some had been here before and also had good things to say on that... More

Menu was quite extensive for an early bird menu, and was fantastic value. My wife and I had the lamb shank which fell off the bone. Really nice and would recommend to visitors to Maynooth

We recently had a very enjoyable meal at the Avenue Café. The food was very nice and the portion sizes are quite big. 4 of us shared two starters - the ribs and wings. There was more than enough for all of us. Presentation and flavours were lovely. The main courses were steaks and burgers and once again decent portions,... More

Dined at the Avenue Cafe at the weekend and really enjoyed it. I had the deep fried brie for starter, the crispy duck (which could have been a tad bit crispier but none the less was delicious) and enjoyed a Bailey's Coffee for desert - all delicious! My friends all enjoyed their meals as well. Service was friendly and prompt... More

Visited with my Mum for lunch . No reservation needed but restaurant was very busy on a Tuesday. Staff were attentive. Only negative for us the tables are too close ,thus no private conversation. Not very comfortable chairs. Lunch menu with specials. Simply delicious!

I visited on recommendations from friends. I was a bit disappointed because I had heard so many good things about this place. Not enough attention to detail. The mussel in white wine, garlic and cream sauce was bland and had more than its fair share of broken shell in it. The fish stew, although quite tasty, also contained broken mussel... More
