Best view in Ireland

We stayed here for three nights with 8 of our family. The owners made us very welcome & attended to our every need. The view from our room was over Rossnowlagh bay & it was to "die for". The room was quite basic but good value for money. The bar man from New Zealand was very friendly & had a... read more

On paper, this restaurant looks to have it all: one of the most striking views of any restaurant in Ireland // a clean and beautiful interior // a very friendly and welcoming staff // rooms if you would like to stay // and a very attractive menu. The pity for us on this occasion was that it was let down... More

My partner and I were staying at the magnificant Smugglers - so we decided to try the Gaslight for a wee change, we did'nt even get to the menu stage. We had a glass of wine, scotch and coke which cost £12.45. Went I queried the price it turned out that my partner had went away without his change of... More

We don't normally respond to reviews on T/A but on this occasion we feel we must. May we first of all take this opportunity to thank all for their past reviews, good or bad, at the end of the day we are only human and do sometimes make mistakes, but if we are told about our mistakes at the time... A really lovely restaurant on a cliff side overlooking Rossnowlagh Beach - the views are magnificent. The staff are friendly, the decor cool; the food nice, but not wonderful. Salmon Special was lovely, a nice crispy skin and good size portion. Others had towering burgers that they proclaimed "nice", the Chicken was "Chicken" and portion sizes were generous. We ate... We visit this part of Ireland yearly, however, this was our first time at the Gaslight. My husband, daughter and I agree our dinner and dining experience was excellent. The manager and staff were kind. The restaurant clean and the sunset beautiful. Make a late dinner reservation for a window table and enjoy nature's best! Thank you Gaslight and see... More

What views there are from this quaint restaurant. The staff were very attentive and more than helpful. The food was ok. Fresh fish was beautiful but let down by bad quality chips. Starters were average. Small changes would transform the place into a great place

Never though I would say this but the hospitality we had tonight and the quality of the food was better than Smugglers. Can't think of one thing I would improve. Seriously recommend the chicken curry. Thank you.

I had family lunch there recently. The food was excellent. The view is breathtaking. The staff and the owners were so helpful and made you feel at home. Anthony and Pauline are wonderful hosts. Highly recommended.
