We popped into the bar Sunday 25/5/14 we had been staying in the area for the weekend. The bar had a nice atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff. We had starters and Sunday roast and it was honestly a really tasty feed! Plenty of meat on the plates, good flavour off the gravy and pepper sauce and it was served hot... More

Very nicely decorated restaurant. Really pleasant staff. Liked the menu. I ordered a special of seafood chowder and open prawn sandwich for a reasonable 8 euro 50 cents. Chowder could have been served warmer but it was absolutely delicious and full of lovely fishy treats. Children got huge portions of chips with their meals. If it hadn't been for a... More

We recently spend a weekend in Donegal and decided to visit Dungloe as we hadn't been there for years. We were looking for somewhere for lunch and came across the Bank Bistro. We had a lovely lunch in the very tastefully decorated dining room. The girl who served us was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. When we were... More

Visited this bistro for a snack while passing through the town. Spacious room and good venue for a quiet relaxing meal. Friendly and helpful staff member.

I have eaten here several times on my visits to Dungloe. I love the feel of the place, it is friendly and the quality of the food is lovely. As to their seafood chowder, it is just heavenly. Roll on Christmas when I shall be revisiting again.

Just a quick review (my previous reviews say it all) following a recent 8 day trip to Donegal and to acknowledge the fantastic experience of dining out here. It was a Friday night and it was very pleasing to see so many people using the restaurant; previous visits have been very quiet. This occasion was packed with a birthday party... More

We have eaten there twice. The first time the food was good, but it all happened so quickly that we were in and out in 35 minutes and you expect a more relaxed experience for that price. The second time was dreadful. We went a bit later as one of our party was travelling back to Dungloe.(about 7.30pm) My husband's... More

The staff all seemed nice. Me and my friend just had a cup of tea here, but they had an extensive menu with a wine list. A classy place to bring your date.

Like KathyW1952, I had the Chowder/Open sandwich, and fully concur with her Review, best Chowder ever - and I've not long returned from Florida where the Chowder is VERY good! However to give you an idea of the 'Drink' prices for you to compare; Pint Guinness . . . . . . .3.90 Euros (reasonable) Gin . . . .... More
