Delicious pasta dish!

In carrigaline on business and this place was recommended by locals! Found off the Main Street it's a cozy place with an open kitchen and decorated with a lot of Italian memorabilia! A group of us dined in Restaurant Romano on Friday evening. I could not say enough about the food and the service. I had the best Spaghetti al Pesto that I ever tasted, the only problem was I couldn't finish the generous portion. My sister was celebrating her birthday and when the staff learnt of this, complimentary Lemoncellos arrived after... More

it might be easy to criticise this restaurant, as there are many things I think it could improve on. However, the atmosphere was quite good, with lots of italian-themed pictures and decorations adorning the walls and lots of candlelight. The waitress was pleasant, and there was no big issue with the food. It was edible, although, the base of the... More

Visited Thursday night only one other table occupied at 9 o'clock Maybe because the food we were served was like nothing either of us have ever had before or could recommend. Returned both dishes tag salmon and chicken strog special as they were not to our taste Paid the bill and left. Hard to understand. Ecos in Douglas two nights... More

The restaurant itself is a lovely romantic candlelit and beautifully decorated with lots of Italian statues and memorabilia. The waitress was welcoming and advised me that my choice of dish would take a long time as I had opted for a trio of pastas as there was a large group of 20 in the other area. So I ordered the... My wife and I dined here during our recent holiday in Carrigaline. To be quite frank, we were disappointed with the whole experience. We walked in to be met by a rather lack lustre reception from a waitress who showed us to a corner seat. There were a number of large house plants nearby, which drew a lot of fruit... More
