Stayed here one night. lovely food and bar very peaceful at night - looking out over the water. The only loss was the leisure centre - we had to use the one at the Garryvoe hotel but this was very nice with a lovely hot tub. I would go back again - liked it more than Castlemartyr

Initially stopped off her for a drink on the lovely terrace on a beautiful evening but as it was so nice we decided to stay and have supper. Our food order was taken fairly promptly even though they were busy and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. We had tasting plates - one with local goats... More

We had a family dinner and get together at the Bayview the night before our wedding. The food for dinner and finger food for our drinks reception was of a very high standard. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and accommodating in the period before and on the day of our reception. Would highly recommend for a gathering... More

Only ate here as staying in local B&B. Ordered a sandwich with fries as we had eaten a large lunch. Firstly the order was forgotten then when the food arrived the bread was dry, hard and in our opinion not fresh at all. The waitress, when we complained, just shrugged and said that is how bloomer bread is and walked... More

I recently stopped by the Bayview Hotel; lovely setting on a perfect summers day. For a snack, we ordered the scones. These were described as Bayview scones, served with Glenmillen clotted cream and a raspberry jam. The scones were microwaved, red hot in the middle. We gave them a three out of 10; they were like something made four days... More

Our room hadn't been cleaned properly and the bathroom light wasn't working. Changed rooms but had to make a fuss about eating an evening meal at a table not a low bar table....so getting their grand (closed) restaurant opened for the purpose. Daft management policies and poor attention to detail.

We visited the Bayview for lunch recently and i have to say it is a beautiful location. We were lucky enough to visit on a sunny day so we could sit outside and apart from being inundated with wasps it was a restaurant with an amazing view. It was slightly expensive but in my experience from our week in Ireland,... More

I couldnt wait to stay at The Bayview Hotel, visited the hotel for a two night stay 25th August. I was very disappointed when I saw our room. Badly stained carpets, broken wardrobe door, damaged window. The room was dull and old fashioned, really in need of a make over. Would have been nice to have a room bright and... More

Went for tea & toasted sandwiches. Toasted sandwiches were pretty tasteless served with mediocre side salad. 2 portions of Chips were cold when served and arrived and served 10 minutes apart. 3 requests for hot water for tea as the pot had already gone cold before it arrived. Generally overpriced and slow service. Staff seemed much more enthusiastic to serve... More
