My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Restaurant Meteora during our one night in town. The moussaka and saganaki were both fabulous. Family run and you can tell that they care about their patrons. Perfect location and a great place to sit outside to people watch and enjoy the action.

I'm not usually a big fan of lamb but this was the best I'd ever had by far! It was so tender and delicious my only regret was that the portions were so generous neither me nor my partner could finish all our food. The service was also excellent. We sat outside and they also happened to have a talkative... More

Meteora Restaurant is a lot of fun because when you step into the restaurant, it looks a lot like the Italian-American restaurant Buco Di Bepo in that they decorated the place with anything and everything Greek from amulets to old newspaper articles, to old machines, etc. so even the decor is whimsical. Then one of the sons meets and greets... More

The Restaurant Meteora has incredibly delicious food! This is a true family-run place, where the grandmother is the chef and the head waitress! She makes delicious meatballs, among other things, and the environment is great too! The food is served in a hybrid family-style and buffet-style, where each item on your plate is more delicious than the next. It's all... More

What a quaint and idyllic little restaurant. When you first walk in you are struck by all of the trinkets and bottles set on the walls throughout. Mama is apparently famous in the area for her food and has been producing it her own way for decades. When we visited the restaurant was very busy. As it turned out the... More

The food came in generous portions in a very home cooked style with reasonable price. We were shown to the kitchen where you could see a selection of home cooked food in big pots on display. We ordered Greek salad, Moussaka and stewed lamb shank. My partner loved the stewed lamb shank, he had been eating lamb for almost every... More

We stayed in many places during our visit to Greece. This place had some of the friendliest and attentive service with some of the best Greek meals we ate. I highly recommend.

I would definitely say that this was a not so ordinary experience with favorable results on the tastebuds. You walk in and go straight to the kitchen. The old lady who cooked the 10 pots of food asks you to take a plate and tells you what is in the pots. There were chicken with tomatoes, lamb with aubergines, lamb... More

We went for a lunch here after a visit to the Monasteries and were welcomed by "Come to Mamma" words of a Matronly lady, which was enough to put us at ease that we had come to the right place. The best thing about this place was it offered a variety of both Vegetarian and Meat dishes, that were in home...
