We went in there because it was close to our hotel. All we wanted was a little soup. We had the chicken and dumplings soup which was really good. Then they wanted to give us dessert for free! Unfortunately we were full from the biscuits and soup so they gave us a coupon for next time. Wow! The wait staff... More

Stopped here for lunch on way to Memphis. Easy to get to and from highway. Food was pretty good and served quickly, and we finished it quickly. I liked the okra! Service a little mediocre. Value was fine. It was a good, expedient place to stop at.

We ate lunch at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the good food! The baked squash was the best I have ever had out before and the meatloaf was perfect. The service was fantastic...we will eat here again when we are in town!

We've had good ice cream treats at other Dixie Café locations and decided to stop for banana splits in Conway. The dips of ice cream were so small, you could barely see them under the banana (yes, UNDER the banana)! It tasted good but I'd like to see the baby-sized scoop they used. It would've been funny if we didn't... More

In Conway for an overnight and slipped into the Dixie Cafe for a comfort food supper. It was lovely, comfortable and exactly as I had hoped it would be. Ample parking out front. Inside finds several sections of booth and table seating. Entree was done to perfection and I found my veggie items just like Grandma would have made them.... More

I love their meatloaf and they had the best turkey, I've ever eaten at Thanksgiving. Thumbs up for their good food!

My 9 yr old loves Dixie, even says their green beans are better than grandma's, so we eat there at least once/month. He always gets the kid's chicken strips. I used to get the chicken strip salad, but had too many experiences with bad lettuce. So, I have tried their catfish, chicken fried steak, and meatloaf. The catfish is usually... More

We returned here again this year after another vacation in Fairfield Bay. We had three children with us this time. Tammy, our server, was a trooper and did an outstanding job. The five of us ate for under $30, and the food was really good.

The food may taste alright but I can't get passed the nursing home-like smell of frankly old or rotten food. I hate to criticize a hometown restaraunt, but I thing they need some REALLY deep cleaning there if thats the case then it doesn't matter how good the food may be, it just reflects a mgmt that needs to spend... First visit to a Dixie Cafe. Portions were reasonable and good. Stick to you bones comfort food. Need to work on the corn muffins but all in all was a pleasant experience and service was good. Visit was late in the day. Not really that upset about the muffins.
