The locals know this is a good place. Good food, good people. Don't pass it up. Worth the trip from Little Rock for something different. If passing through on interstate, it is the best place to eat between Memphis and Little Rock.

This was our first stop on an epic road trip. We wanted to get something quick for a late lunch so we stopped in. We were drawn to the place by the many billboards along the highway coaxing us in. I had the barbeque sandwich which was done right, the meat was tender and flavorful and shaved thin. Great barbeque... More

Nick's BBQ and Catfish Restaurant is undoubtedly the best place to eat in Carlisle, Arkansas. Granted, there's really not much competition in this small town, located about a half-mile off I-40 between Little Rock and Memphis, but that doesn't take away from the good food served there. Nick's looks like a place out of the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes," and... More

We were not disappointed. Great and inexpensive food, fun to share in a friendly atmosphere in a no-nonsense restaurant. Bonus that it wasn't carpeted (for those of us with allergies). Don't expect 5 star service and plating but do bring your appetite. The only downfall is that they're not licensed to serve alcohol and their fish and shrimp batter was... More

This restaurant is a great stop for travelers on I-40 between Little Rock and Memphis. Plenty of parking for cars and tractor trailers. The catfish has a crispy breading and the BBQ is tender and delicious. It has been around since 1972 and is still doing it right.

I met some friends at Nick's yesterday and we all enjoyed our lunches. Mine was the smoked chicken plate -- and the chicken was moist, tender, and perfectly cooked. Side dishes of fried okra and baked beans were good too. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. No room for dessert!

I don't eat a lot of catfish and I'm pretty picky-theirs is really good. My husband and I shared a 3-pic catfish dinner with cold slaw and okra, and a side order of 6 fried green tomatoes. We each had our own fried pie. Everything was hot and tasted good. This is a popular place-we had a short wait at... More

I had French Onion soup and the Cluck, Oink, Apple salad. Oh my!! I love my salad cut up small and scattered (not everything pile on top of each thing), this salad was perfect. Soup was yummy too. My husband had baked chicken, very good, very moist. We will definately go back to Nick's if we are in Carlisle. And... More

My husband and I stopped in here for dinner on 10-09-14. We decided to share the Jumbo BBQ Pork Basket for $7.99 came with 2 sides. We picked the coleslaw. Then we ordered 15 hush puppies (They are the best ever) .29 cents each, and one 4 layer slice of homemade Italian Cream Cake for 4.99. Everything was great but... More

9/29/14 On our way home from my Navy reunion in Jacksonville Florida we stopped here for lunch. We found the place to be very clean and friendly service. They had a very good menu with lots of choices and the price is right. We had very good service. The food was hot and had a very good flavor. Cap &... More
